  1. A FPS I love very much is Gunman Chronicles. While the graphics don't hold up that well today, it had awesome customizable weapons and HUGE bosses. I bought it on sale and haven't regret it ever since. It uses the HL1 engine so it feels similar to HL1 in many aspects, but it's clearly its own entity as well.

  2. Half-Life 2 is my favorite video game of all time.

The graphics are drop-dead gorgeous, even seven years later. There are no cutscenes; all exposition is in very immersive scripted sequences. Every time you play the game, you encounter something new, even if you're playing through it for the twentieth time.

Agreed. Even on lower settings the game looks amazing for the time. My jaw dropped when I played it for the first time. It really gave me the feeling of being in what felt like a completely realized world.

  3. I just mean that they kind of muscled their way into the motion control market to steal the fire. In regards to what Nintendo does with their games they are pretty much on the sidelines; hitting on the soccer moms and handing out balloons while Microsoft and Sony manly flex and grunt.

I think as a PC gamer I'm very neutral to the whole console war thing.

I used to hate PC gamers because every comment they make on any games that come out is : It will obviously be best on PC though.

I used to rage so hard, If you could classify PC's as consoles then PC gamers are just as bad.

I can understand that and I'm not trying to sound like a bigot at all. For me it's just more convenient to have everything on my computer and have it more centralized. If people prefer consoles though that's okay with me. As I said, I'm completely neutral to it.

  4. Yeah, I already knew that so I had very low expectations when I watched it. I think that actually was in my favour though.

I bought the movie... They actually got the military procedures down pretty good... Nobody saying "retreat" and lots of double-taps.

Watching the extras, they actually had a millitary guy training them for the movie. A bit of a waste since it underperformed massively but that impressed me as well.

  5. The PC version was okay. Nothing beats the new Hot Pursuit though.

I like being able to customize my cars the way I like them, so IMO NFS:U, NFS:U2, and NFS:MW were better...

Each car in Hot Pursuit has different driving abilities though. I would rather pick a favourite car than have a ton of cars with the same driving abilities and just customize them. Because with my lack of mechanic skills I would never customize a car irl either. My brother's a huge fan of more realistic simulator-style racers though, like Gran Turismo. I can never get into those games personally.

  6. I don't mind that Fallout 3 is basically Oblivion with guns because that's basically the main reason I don't like Oblivion. It has no guns. Fallout 3 is just more cathering to my personal taste.

I can probly make a gun mod for you so you can have guns in Oblivion...

Thanks, but no thanks. That would feel out of place in the game's setting. That's the main problem for me with the Elder Scrolls series (including Skyrim). I really can't stand fantasy settings. They feel way too cliché'd for me. I feel more at home in a post-apocalyptic setting like Fallout or dystopian setting like Deus Ex.

  7. Few days ago I found two Massive Attack albums. I haven't known them before. Now it's one of my favourite band. I can't stop listening it

I know that House MD uses their song Teardrop as its opening theme. That's a bit awesome.

    ZZ Top: Bad Girl [Eliminator]

  8. I definitely think you should ignore the critics and trust your gut feeling on it.

Everyone said the Doom movie sucked but I watched it with a pretty open mind and found it somewhat enjoyable.

Ah I didn't like the Doom movie; I was extremely disappointed it wasn't demons from hell but a lame-ass virus. The only part I found really enjoyable was the FPS segment, it was hella good. The rest of it made me wanna snooze.

Yeah, I already knew that so I had very low expectations when I watched it. I think that actually was in my favour though.

  9. The Chinese are already attacking the US... They've stolen our economy, and are sending substandard or outright dangerous products to us... I give us lass than 50 years before the Chinese invade.

We WON'T nuke our own soil... (or cause a nuclear catastrophe that will end the world's ability to sustain life) That is the stance of the US government, and it's military. All the Chinese have to do is get on our soil, and they're safe from nuclear retaliation.

America will never fall to COMMUNISM! Red Chinese victory IMPOSSIBLE!
