ZZ Top: Gimme All Your Lovin [Eliminator]

and with a rape scenario it might even be against the woman's will.
It definitely is, unless the woman is the actual rapist.
Of course. It's rare but it happens.

We'll find out soon, I suppose.
I would actually love one giant game world with no loading times because loading tends to break the flow of the game. If we at some point can achieve more smoother ways of loading the game world, then I think that would create a more intuitive experience.
Wouldn't be as hard as it seems if you can manage to get the engine to load 3 maps in one go, overlay them, and load/drop maps one at a time...
Load map 1 & 2. When you cross over into map 2, it loads map 3. As you cross into map 3 it unloads map 1, and loads map 4.
Rinse and repeat. Easy to script IMO if the engine could do it...
I think that could be the future of FPS games.

I expect (and hope) that they'll all be ironed out in the end.
It doesn't seem to affect the mods or admins, only regular users. Basically it's an error message saying that the forums are unavailable temporarily.

I have some wet dreams of my own, rather frequently.
But mostly I just dream about random stuff.
One dream I remember fondly I was a marine, like the one in Doom 3, with a huge ass chaingun.

"Story in a game is like story in a porn. It's expected to be there but it's not really that important."
- John Carmack, id Software.
When was that statement made? I have to disagree with it, I think whether a story is important or not in a game depends very much on what the game is.
I think he said it about the time when Doom came out. But I think that sums up id's attitude towards games pretty much.

One interesting thing I have noticed is that my nightmares are rarely about anything happening to me physically, but often things happening to people I care about, so it's more a kind of psychological terror.

Heh. It looks like Minecraft!
Still, I think it's an abomination. Half-Life 2 is one of the prettiest games I've ever played! I could never play it like that.
I personally push the graphics to the max and run it at 1920x1080.
I think Minecraft looks very retro, it reminds me a lot of old DOS games.

Does the fetus have the right to live in a woman's body with or without her permission? No. Why? Rights cannot infringe on other rights. To force a woman remain pregnant, means to force a woman to go against her reason, what she thinks is best for her, and what she can do with her own body. This violates her rights to life (and the nourishment thereof), liberty (to choose what she does for herself) and property (remember: her body is her property!). This is why a fetus does not have rights and only lives within a woman by her permission. Even if the fetus was a fully conscious human being, all of the above would still apply.
And for 99% of abortions, it is the consequence of the female's intentional actions that the baby is conceived. Why should a living human being be murdered because the "mother" couldn't keep her pants on?
I agree that people should take responsobility for their actions, but we all f*** up sometimes, and with a rape scenario it might even be against the woman's will.

I would like to suggest forum spoiler tags, for people posting spoilers.
I second this.

In Norway we have a social-democratic system and it works pretty good.

Hence why I as a Christian don't feel afraid that much, because my religion creates a sort of security. It might be a delusion for all I know, but for me it's not a bad thing.

People are different and each person has their own perception of reality. Maybe evolution makes more sense than creationism to you but it might not to someone else, like me. In the end it depends greatly on the person and how that person perceives the world.
Oh, ok. I didn't understand your point of view.
You're a subjectivist. You believe that it's up to people to decide what reality is. I'm talking as if no one decides what reality is; reality just is, and it's up to people to perceive and understand it using reason and logic. You know, the objective theory of reality and values.
There's a lot of problems with the subjectivist theory, that I won't go into in this thread. You should read the torture scenes in the book Nineteen Eighty-Four. George Orwell does a great job in exposing flaws in subjectivism.
Nobody's perfect. I'm just being honest about what I believe in.

Michael explained my thoughts quite well, no need to repeat it. I personally find evolution lightyears more believable than creationism, I simply do not understand how grown up adults can find creationism making more sense. To semi-quote what Bill Maher once said: it seems that when religion is being discussed people just throw all logic and common sense out of the window, even the more intelligent people.

The worst part is that I WANT to browse these forums and be active but they are not letting me. It's really ruining my experience as a user.
-
My point is that even if evolution might seem more likely than creationism to most people, it all boils down to what people choose to believe. I have nothing against believing in evolution but to me it just doesn't make sense. I have to believe what I find most logical to me. What others believe is their matter personally.
I cannot prove that God has created the world, but that's what I believe because it's just what makes most sense to me personally. I can only speak for myself.
-
A lot of phobias are not logical. They are based on emotions, which are always essentially completely irrational.
-
I think Michael brings forth a very important reason here.
-
It definitely seems to hint at dark forces being at work. I loved the ambiguity of it.
-
There are all sorts of fears around, perhaps homophobia could be classified as fear of the unknown, much like people who are afraid of disabled people and get really nervous around them.
I think it's the same kind of fear of what they don't understand and can't comprehend.
-
I am a creationist and I never take evolution as fact. It's a theory.
