  1. Japan now also faces a power and environmental crisis, because one of their nuke reactors got damaged, and the danger of radiation leak is rising. God this is awful. The least we can do is pray for Japan's recovery.

I'm with you on that one.

  2. Thanks I was trying to keep it short and hoping I didn't veer off the topic of animal suffering too far but I feel like our ways of life really reflects on it

Lifestyle and food production go hand in hand, and I can easily understand that was your general point. I much too often buy fast food and frozen food because it's so easy to cook, without thinking much about what's behind it.

  3. Macintosh computers were vastly superior to the PC back in the early 90's and was the preferred platform for any kind of serious graphic designer or studio musician. Nowadays... PC's have pretty much caught up with them.

  4. Thunderstorms are awesome, I wish they happened here more frequently than once every year or two. It sends shivers down my body hearing the claps echo across the sky.

Same here. Mesmerizing to experience them.

  5. ha ha

So THAT was the song the programmers liked. XD

I knew I had heard that music somewhere before, but I couldn't remember the name of the game...

Ok, so I just got all the old vinyls that are going to be part of my inheritance... They include:

    Pink Floyd, Meddle

Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon

The Beatles, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band

    The Beatles, White Album

    The Beatles, Alpha Omega Vol.1 & 2

    The Who, Tommy

Mike Oldfield, Tubular Bells (3 copies, the ones only sold to US military personnel)

    Xanadu OST

    Queen, Jazz

    Elton John, "friends"

    The Best of Roy Orbison

    Simon and Garfunkel, Bookends

    Simon and Garfunkel, Greatest Hits

    Survivor, Eye of the Tiger

    Survivor, Vital Signs

    Dean Martin's Greatest Hits Vol.1

Elvis, Worldwide 50 Gold Hits Vol.1

    Pat Benatar, Precious Time

Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, I Love Rock n' Roll

The Beach Boys, Spirit of America

    Air Supply, Greatest Hits

There are more, but those are the best in the collection.

I spy with my little eye two Pink Floyd classics.

  6. Natural disasters are especially terrifying because you have no control over them.

And that makes them scary. I've never seen a tornado in real, and I hope I wont. I think such thing it pretty scary. I don't even want to imagine tsunami to see on my own eyes - but in the middle of europe it's quite impossible.

I've been within 2 miles of a class 5 tornado... Not that scary. I was only 4 years old, and I thought it looked cool and wanted to sit by our sliding glass porch window to watch it. lol

I feel the same thing about thunderstorms.

  7. XP.

And Macs... Don't get me started on Macs...

(Actually, I really don't care. But it's fun to pretend that i do, especially around my Apple fanboy cousin )

Haha! I know how you feel. my friend has a mac and any time it has any kind of error or just hiccups I make a really big deal about it saying things like "Oh I thought it is a mac and IT JUST WORKS?!" I know Im being a jerk but its fun sometimes since they will talk about how mac is easier to use than PC and all that jazz.

For me, a computer is a computer, regardless of the brand.

  8. Well as long as your not a radical vegan and screaming angry slogans like "You wouldn't eat your pets!" No I wouldn't I don't eat cats, dogs, or any other animal that eats other higher animal forms. (sorry I saw this on a bumper sticker and thought it was ridiculous).

Now, I completely agree with the general opinion that it is ok to eat animals but wrong to treat them like crap, and luckily we are getting more free range animal products and some without antibiotics. But unfortunately those are more expensive than regular meat.

Another downside is that majority of us prefer to buy pre-made foods (ie fast food, take out, frozen dinners) because it's easier and considering most of us need to work and feel like we do not have the time, or skill to cook, making pre-made meals the preferable choice. The restaurants or companies that make these meals usually don't want to reduce profits so they go with the lower grade meats, usually the animals that are full of chronic stress hormone (cortisol), which is not good for humans either, so pumped full of antibiotics that they get overdose side effects, and they don't get many vitamins, so in turn, neither do you.

Basically (before I go off on anymore of a tangent) I am just saying we should just try to change our style of life, calm down a little and cook for ourselves. But more importantly for our own health, eat a little less meat. Not saying you should not eat it at all but reducing your intake, especially when you are older and stop growing will help preventing heart disease and high cholesterol.

You have a lot of good points there.

  9. I liked the original Mr.Pibb best of any drink ever. They replaced it with Pibb Extra, but that's just too sweet, and too thick of syrup... I've taken to cutting it with coke to make it taste more like the original.

Never heard of that before. Some kind of local cola?
