Only 10 years, really? So it's quite a gap between the two game setting. Sigh. Well if Freeman and Chell would meet, Alyx should be there to break the ice. Man, I would love to see that scene
I'm not entirely sure there's any real indication as to when Portal is set. You never really see anything that can give the player a good idea as to what year it is. I could be wrong though.
CHECK THIS OUT!!! On Gameinformer.com.
There are new snippets of info trickling out about Valve's upcoming title, even with only weeks before launch.
Kotaku had a chance to chat with one of Portal 2's writers, Erik Wolpaw, who suggested that there would be a bridge chapter that will connect Portal and Portal 2, explaining some details about the vast stretch of time that has passed between the two games. Wolpaw did not reveal the nature of this prologue, or how soon gamers would be able to see it.
Wolpaw also confirmed some frequently discussed issues surrounding the timelines of the Half-Life and Portal games. "Portal is after Half-Life 1 and before Half-Life 2," Wolpaw said. "Without getting into it too much, Portal 2 is further down the line," he said.
You can read Kotaku's full post on the subject here.
I didn't know that. That's quite interesting.

Guys, you really like offtopic, huh?
I agree. Let's get back to talking about the customized member titles.
-
I'm about to begin Duke Nukem 2. By this rate I'll be done with Duke Nukem 3D when I get Duke Nukem Forever, hopefully.
-
Star Wars Episode 1 Racer was a good one when it first came out on the N64.
Yes, I remember that. One of the better Star Wars games.

I have a feeling that games lately have become increasingly reliant on graphics and story over original gameplay. At least in the mainstream.

Natural disasters are especially terrifying because you have no control over them.
And that makes them scary. I've never seen a tornado in real, and I hope I wont. I think such thing it pretty scary. I don't even want to imagine tsunami to see on my own eyes - but in the middle of europe it's quite impossible.
Yeah. I feel lucky for living in Norway. The worst natural disasters we have are blizzards.
-
Anyway. I hope we'll get custom member titles.
Yes, but whhhyyy do robots need vaginas?
Because robots won't get mad at you if you're late to get home, and don't ask "does this dress make me look fat?".What he said.

Tbh windows 7 is way more customizable. Your just need to be willing to put 5 more minutes in to doing it.
All you really have to do is patch your system for custom themes. And then just search for themes on DeviantArt(most of them have a detailed description on how to install the theme).
For example here is a good one i used a while ago: http://rajtheeban95.deviantart.com/art/Dark-Soft-big-updates-153240734?q=&qo=
I did know of the custom theme patch but I do not like to install OS related patches by 3rd parties, I've read many BSoD horror stories.
Enough to put you off, I imagine.

Seeing how almost everyone here is an adult makes feel like a baby
I've been told I have a baby face, If that makes you feel any better.
Also, an ex-gf told me I had the emotional development of a five year old.
Kinda like how my boyfriend reminds me of a little puppy dog sometimes.

Anyway. I hope we'll get custom member titles.
-
Or you could install WindowBlinds. That works too.

Why would robots need vagina's ?
lol, I already asked that.

Dude, you should shave your hair completely and grow a beard. Then buy a chopper and you're good to go. For some reason your face seems to fit with that.
What do you mean when you said "my face is to fit with that". Was that a compliment? CONFUSED!
Take it as a compliment. I'm sure that's how he meant it.
-
Oh? Why so few?
-
I can see it just fine. I like your hair.

I'm glad you found it. I'm sorry, I'm used to Norwegian Windows.
This is not classy looking in Classic style but I made everything much easier on my eyes. How flexible are Aero colour settings (I'm afraid to try myself because I'm visually impaired.)?
Well, not really that flexible. But at least you can decide which colour to use, how much brightness to use, and whether you want transparency or not.

I have Windows 7. Its a nice operating system, but I wouldn't say its really good. I mean, All Microsoft did was release a nice Operating System, Windows XP, then wait an unusually long time to release a new one, Windows Vista, which sucked, lets see... hippopotamus butt. Then, they release a decent one, Windows 7, and it seems gold, but only in comparison to the last one. Of course this isn't Microsoft's fault, they can't just do a complete reboot and hope that everyone will remake every application from scratch to be compatible. At most Windows 7 made thigs more accessible, but there is still a lot room for improvement, there is a lot of stuff wasting resources that basically can't be turned without unforeseen consequences
Love the HL reference there.
Anyway, I can see your point. But that doesn't change the fact Windows 7 beats Vista by a long shot.

I never watch TV. It's just awful.
I only do on occasion when I'm visiting someone. In general I don't.

Games I revisited not long ago are SOS and Skyroads/Skyxmas. I adore the music in the latter.
Skyroads seem to have some impressive graphics for the time, judging from some screenshots I found. Awesome early 3D.

And I play everything from DOS games to Crysis on mine. Since Win7 64-bit has no 16-bit support whatsoever, DOS games need to be emulated, so in a way you are tasking your processor pretty well.
I suppose you could say that, yeah. Games like Duke Nukem 3D and Tomb Raider require some CPU power to emulate.

Found it. Looks like it was just a translation thing, Customize is Personalize. I'll be fooling around with the colours, that's for sure. Thanks for the tip.

What is most important for you in a game?

And Duke Nukem Forever seems to be pure gameplay almost. XD
