That one game you love that everyone else hates

+1 When running as a gun-toting dweller from the start gets you killed by the first rat you see because you can't hit the damn thing, there's something wrong with the mechanics of the game. That's just oldschool RPG mechanics for you, and that's what the Luck stat is for. To each his own. I guess the fact I grew up with Fallout 1 and 2 allowed me to kinda get used to those games. -
Quake 2 is good too, but that's not the anniversary, lol

Watch_Dogs - Love the story, love the gameplay, kickass game if you leave your expectations behind. Deus Ex: Invisible War - Wouldn't go as far as to say I love it, but I did enjoy it. Mass Effect - Specifically the MAKO portions. I loved the exploration and found the controls fine. NO idea why people bitch so much about it... Seriously? Sonic CD is hated? I thought everyone loved it. While I agree the combat in Fallout 1 and 2 was a bit clunky, it's probably because those games weren't combat centered. They were turn based RPGs first and foremost. Tactics isn't in the same genre really. -
Quake day for me. I might play through the expansions, never did that.

Settings I like: Post-apocalypse (Fallout) Sci-fi (Mass Effect, Borderlands) Cyberpunk (Deus Ex, Hard Reset) Futuristic settings in general Settings I dislike/am hesitant to: Typical fantasy (DND) While I used to really hate these types of settings, I have grown more accustomed to them. I still feel hesitant to games with fantasy settings though. Horror - In most cases, horror settings just feel weird to me and like they are trying to manipulate me into feeling scared, in most cases it just doesn't work and annoys me Real-life based (WW1/WW2, real life scenarios etc.) - Personally I play games as escapism, to get away from real life. Real life based games, realistic games or "simulator" style games never appeal to me and bore me to death.
