  1. It's going to die. Right now it's a really niche thing, Oculus is killing itself with always on DRM and people finding out they record things you say via your mic and send it to Facebook's ad group, Vive's whole thing is that VR games now also need a minimum room size requirement or they won't work, it's overly expensive, devs are selling their games for way to much when most of it is kinda boring arcade games and the system requirements demand you need a pc that is over $2000 to build and most VR games don't really need to be VR tbh.

It's not going to do well, there are numerous problems with no real reason to use it

Yep, niche is pretty much how I would describe it too...

It's relevant due to its forking of the original code in order to implement anti-DRM. (it performs differently to a legit copy, and that was one of the things I was talking about)

Dude... that means diddly squat to anyone but you, no offense...

  3. I've never pirated a game. i feel like it's sort of a pure art form. i mean i'll steal music or whatever, but i just don't feel right about pirating games. especially since the developer gets like maybe 15% of the sale. then there's gamestop which basically bypasses the developer with used game sales. it's sort of a kicked around art form i think.

OT: ordering food and thinking about gaming.

I used to pirate games a lot back when I had no income to speak of. Nowadays I don't think there's much of an excuse to unless your income is absolutely non-existent.

  4. As a designer myself constantly having to hear about games being pirated is frustrating. Especially since most of the reasons aren't even good ones.

    OT: Playing Dark Souls 3.

I'm a designer too. If I found my game pirated I dunno if I would feel honored or just disgusted that someone honestly didn't find my product worth buying...
