From my perspective, Machinima is not so nice or moreover "growth and team changing"as lightly descrived in the blog entry... The term I'd use is more like "total chaos and no respect for creators"

Stiring it up even more here won't help it. I've been panicking more than anyone at the forums... It's time to take it easy and trust Ross on this.

If it looks like Machinima will kill Freeman's Mind, I'd say everyone should download the videos before they get taken down. Keep the series alive. And if it does get pulled, then we all re-upload them on our channels and keep circulating the tapes.

 

Let's also organize a raid on Machinima. Some payback will be nice.

I suggest WAIT WITH ANY action and let Ross work it out before you do anything crazy. He decides what happens, in the end.

Half-Life 3 is coming out in 2013 or 2014, and it'll be an open world shooter from what I hear. Just rumors though. Nothing's certain until Valve announces anything.

Hey everyone, I have some news to bring up. There's a user on Youtube that's been hosting copies of the Freeman's Mind videos without permission with the user name "FreemanMind." Just so everyone knows, this is not me.

 

A simple solution would be to add a warning after the intro title of your videos. It should be concise, for example: "watch only on channel x, donate only on website y, report scammers", you get the idea. I assume a lot of the dopplegangers won't take the time to edit out the warning and thus they will lose some audience.

What if they REPLACE the warning with an identical one listing their channel and their website? :0

Good point. I think the best way is not to suggest anything to potential scammers. Machinima and lawers take care of such bastards. Internet users do what they can on his account as well.
