  1. Wikipedia says this: "Vector graphics is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygon(s), which are all based on mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics."

     

    Here is me trying to explain it:

    They are images made completely out of mathematical shapes rather than pixels. This allows them to be much greater of quality when scaled.
