  1. Me too, no doubt. Although I do get a little sad when I see that FM gets so much more views than his other Machinima's. It is understandable, given the simplicity and accessibility of the series but still.

But I think we are going a little off topic here.

  2. I think we should let him finish HL1 first and see if there is even still interest. I mean, lets be realistic, this is probably gonna go on for a pretty long time and Machinima series usually don't go stay popular forever. Anyever, I think it is way to soon to discuss this. I mean if/when we get to HL2, someone is gonna make a thread similar to this anyway.

  3. Big boobs + ass = strong. Well in that case I'll be weak forever.

Anyway, I don't really need someone attractive to look at, for that I can go watch porn, when I play games I want someone I can relate to or care for. And I feel that unrealistically attractive women are just a very cheap way to get more sales from guys thinking with their penis.

Which is why I actually really don't like the look of Elizabeth in Bioshock:Infinite. The corset looks so tight that she is gonna pass out and die of suffocation, the breasts look very....present and the face looks like a doll more than an actual human.

Edit: Also boobs + ass =/= instantly attractive

  4. Putting fucking in every other sentence does not make your point come across stronger.

The difference is that Pac-man and Amnesia offer a different kind of immersion. Pac-man immerses you in that you really need to focus to succeed at the game(the tension you mentioned it creates). Amnesia uses mostly story, setting and sound design.

A good RPG usually let you customize your own character and play the game any way you want to, so I'd have to disagree there, and I guess you're right about any game that doesn't have a silent protagonist, but that's my fucking point: Why did Amnesia need a character like Daniel? Was it necessary to make his personality that strong? It completely removes any immersion for me and that's what I'm fucking trying to say!

What I meant to say is that any game that does NOT have a silent protagonist or is NOT a RPG does that.

  5. and practically forced Daniel's characteristics onto you

Doesn't any game that does not have a silent protagonist or is an RPG do that?

Imagined if in Pac-Man, when Pac-Man sees the ghosts, he'd just stop entirely, not letting you control him. That's how it felt for me, lack of control. It didn't scare me, it just fucking annoyed me.

Bad comparison, Pac-Man is not a horror game.

  6. Then I don't think I will even consider Mass Effect 3. I mean, it looks pretty cool, but not worth bothering with Origin for. Only game I can think of I might consider is ME2 when it comes out.

Edit: ME2 as in Mirror's Edge 2. I spend so much time on the Mirror's Edge forums I forget people usually associate ME with Mass Effect.
