Studying for an English test I have tomorrow. I usually get 8s or 9s(grades here go from 1-10, 10 being the highest) without doing any studying or even paying any attention in class, so I want to see how it turns out when I DO study.

^Yes. It wasn't really about the game itself as much as the politics in the game.

Apparently there was no Bioshock thread in this section(shame on you), so I just went ahead and made one.

 

I swear there was one with myself and Micheal Archer going on about Objectivism a long time ago, possibly not in this section, or deceptively titled though. Was I the only one that actually liked the 2nd game? I liked all the streamlining of the tonic system and the plasmid/weapon combat system. I liked the story, the mystery and light horror being replaced with a focus on a strong individual battling against an overtly Collectivist-Altruist villian on a personal quest with greater insight on a few old characters in a new light. The multiplayer however, I like to pretend it didn't exist and generally blame it for tanking the review scores.

I liked the second game, there are a few gameplay changes I like(the hacking, using plasmids and weapons at once) and I did like the story(I managed to dig up an old post from me on the 2K forums about Bioshock and I think its still relevant: "BS1 got me thinking, while bioshock 2 got me feeling. Anyways in my heart bioshock 1&2 are and will always be the best game ever."). I didn't actually like being this strong character, part of the charm in Bioshock was that you are but a simple man that due to bad luck stumbles across the city, In Bioshock 2 however you are a Big Daddy and apparently not any Big Daddy but the strongest/most agile one. I just think it makes it so much less scary.

And I don't know why people hate on the Multiplayer so much. I love it. It has its issues(badly optimized for PC gaming, VERY laggy), but I still enjoy it a lot. In fact, right now, I enjoy it more than any other MP game. But I do have to say, I could have done without the Multiplayer if it meant for some more content in the single player(a little bit longer, more new weapons/plasmids and more new enemies).

If we are going that road I'm going the Bioshock side.

Party With Pinkie and Pinkie's Lie are as good as it gets for me. I'm a raver right now. Calming music doesn't appeal to me as much right now (unless I'm doing hypnosis sessions, of course). Flutterwonder's nice, but the calmness mixed with the fact that PinkiePieSwear's songs have unintelligible lyrics makes me enjoy his music less. I HAVE to understand what I'm listening to or the vocals become annoying. Might as well make it instrumental.

I like calming music, it calms me(NO WAI!?). And I actually like his gibberish more than songs with very badly cut voice snippets.

Also to be honest I don't see Valve going down anytime soon, I mean they seem to have taken every genius game developer in this universe and formed a company with it. Also pretty much ALL of their games have been a success.

I've been more negligent than you. I've only watched 3 or 4 episodes, and I watched them about a week ago.

Doing my morning forum read since I just found out that the clock was set back an hour so I actually have time to.

I liked Amnesia(for the little bit I had played it). It actually was scary ESPECIALLY because you had no weapon.

What I don't like is people that act all tough when playing a horror game and say its not scary. WELL DUH. If you not gonna be open to let yourself get scared and try to get immersed in the experience, OBVIOUSLY its not gonna be scary.

I do feel too that(even on low ping servers) the sniper doesn't respond as fast as I'd like it too. But after some playing you get used to that and automatically adjust to it.

So what's the curse of this farm anyways?
