    Someone is going to have to explain this to me; the wikipedia article isn't sufficient.

     

    Now, you guys probably know that I'm not known for wanting to make things illegal. However, when it comes to the protection of copyrights and intellectual property, I think the government isn't being strict enough. I think they should be more forceful when defending a man's right to his mind and effort. I'm getting the impression that most people speaking out against this bill just want to continue using intellectual property without the owner's permission and that they're ludicrously using the First Amendment to somehow justify their theft.

     

    The freedom of speech doesn't mean you're allowed to forcibly use another property, so bills that protect property rights are completely constitutional, moral, and proper for a government. Of course, I probably don't fully understand what the bill entails; for all I know, it could be something out of North Korea. Can someone who actually understands the bill help me out here?

    That's what the politicians are putting it out as, and, it is primarily to stop online piracy, but there's fine print involved. I don't know the technical name for it, but basically, there's a part in SOPA that states instead of sites being able to monitor themselves, that would go over to the government. Meaning, someone could file a claim against a site for copyright (even if it's under fair use) and get the site shut down. And pretty much anything from streaming things live, to using anything from copywritten material can get taken down, and you might even be sued for it. Don't know about that last part.

     

    Anyway, the stopping piracy part is fine, I commend the government for finally wanting to take a stand against it, it's the little details that are the problem.

    So guys, I'm back! I doubt anybody noticed my absence, but I became depressed and suicidal after a big problem at school (Not going into further detail), so my parents and I agreed to take me to the Rockford center, an institution to help those with mental issues (Self-Inflictors, Addicts, Short-Tempered people, etc.). I stayed there until Monday afternoon, then my dad took me and my sister to Tennesee (Pigeon Forge) for a vacation. I found out I am incredible at Lazer Tag and that Dollywood may have the best food at an Amusement Park, EVER. We got back at 2 AM today, so I'm not dead guiz!

     

    My thoughts on the new ep:

     

    Awesome. Sauce. Pinkie Pie was probably my favorite of all the characters. Can YOU think inside a chimney??? :lol:

     

     

    I would also like to say that my recent vacation down south made me realize how friggin' nice people are down there. Everybody's so friendly and it makes me want to move down there so badly. Thus, my list of favorite ponies has changed.

    Yes, Rarity is no longer my least favorite, mostly because of AF Rarity, but also because I've come to appreciate her qualities, even if her interests are in something I have never cared for. And I'm not saying I hate Twilight. She's just not as dynamic as the others. She's just a dull pony.

    I did notice actually, was wondering where you went, but now your back! :D I'm so sorry about your problems though, I hope everything works out!!

     

    Also about Twilight, it's not that she's dull or uninteresting it's just...I dunno. I think we're supposed to learn with her and relate, but her personality and character kinda just make her, 'that other pony' even when she's supposed to be the MAIN, main character. Kinda like with AJ only on a smaller scale.

    Anywho, it would appear the fandom is under attack by trolls hard lately. "Hasrbo Inc." yes, hasrbo, has been getting video's taken off youtube for infringement and youtube doesn't even fucking check the source

     

    Ponyarchive has been hacked and infected by a time delayed mock-virus that activates after 15 seconds. Though it's really just a trolling attempt according to some of the internet smarties.

     

    Alex S., popular artist's account was banned on youtube by claims of copyright infringement ON HIS ORIGINAL WORK. SOne of the claims made by an Adolf Bush. -.-

     

    Last I heard a lot of artists were taking down their music for now to avoid the trolls. Funny how these guys call US sad yet they seem to have NOTHING more important to do that try way too hard to cripple the fandom of something they don't like.

     

    You know you're mature when you hate a show designed for little girls so much that you'll go to such extreme lengths to ruin it for everyone else. I mean, you're spreading viruses and banning bronies and flagging videos, and you're calling us the childish ones?

    i can't draw hands, noses, or mouths to save my life...eyes i'm decent at though. ;)

    I draw faces best. They're not perfect most of the time but they're better than my bodies. Which again aren't TERRIBLE, but I do need more practice.

    Might as well get this off my chest in the appropriate thread, but I think I'm, if not bi fully, then bicurious at least. Which is funny because I can literally go back and find my post saying I'm straight but even then, I was still in a smaller part struggling with these feelings. I don't know but I had to put it somewhere.

    Don't know much about this sequel/reboot...thing. But I got it for 10 bucks and will see what it's all about. Only PoP game I've ever really played was the game based on the movie, which I did not care to watch. But hey, maybe this will be better.

    All the times I've been posting Kitsune^2 in the listening to thread you now notice? :o

    I can't see videos using the youtube thing that I can't remember the name of without going to edit a post, copying the letters and numbers, finding a video and replacing them, so I hardly bother on the listening to thread. I don't know what any of you guys post Youtube-wise without a link.
