Season 4 confirmed already (They've got it ordered, anyway) so it isn't about to end.
Either she'll resign the use of it or the series will just go on with her as an alicorn. It does seem a bit strange that they'd make her an Alicorn, but if Reddit is to be believed it's because of executive meddling (Hasbro wants to sell Alicorn Twilight toys). That last fact kind of makes me think they're going to leave her as an Alicorn, again because of executive meddling.
Well, they've cleaned this up after Hasbro before, hopefully they can do it again.
Alicorn Twilight does look pretty pimp though...

Well, if the details about the contracts are accurate, then Machinima kind of has the upperhand, to say the least. In effect, their contracts mean they own every video posted online by the artist...Well, forever, apparently. I don't know enough about law to really say how much weight this will carry in court, especially considering that a lot of 'their' videos involve copyrighted material from other companies. I mean, can they really say that they 'own' a video that consists of footage of a game owned by Valve with a narrator that happens to be funny?
Obviously, Machinations isn't going to want to let go of Ross. They're not exactly hurting for money or anything, but FM and CP are very popular, so regardless of anything they're not going to let Ross out of this without a fight. However, that is also potentially a good thing, since even if they get the rights to the videos and get some money out of Ross, it's still less than they would get if they just let him keep making the videos. That in mind, they might let him renegotiate the contract, if that does in fact prove necessary.
It helps that it isn't just Ross too - some of their most popular producers on youtube are having similar issues. Machinations can afford to lose a few people, but if people start steering clear of them because of bad publicity about this kind of thing, it's ultimately going to cost them. So hopefully, Ross will at least be able to negotiate more favorable terms, even if Machinima legally isn't required to do that.

OH HOW CONVENIENT. MAYBE YOU COULD HAVE DONE THAT LIKE, IMMEDIATELY AFTER THEY WERE MADE.
"Reforming Spells". Huuuuh, is it just me, or does that sound kind of...sinister? That sounds like the same thing Discord did to the Mane six, just in reverse, something that was treated as being very immoral.
"Do you all think I'm silly and gullible?" Rarity: "Only in the sense that you're silly and gullible." Bahaha, Rarity's had her fair share of snarking in the last couple of episodes, and I'm loving it.
Hmm, Celestia never did explain what exactly she needed Discord's magic for. I wonder if this will come up later? Either way I'm hoping we'll see more of Discord, maybe in a supporting role like Luna. What would be sweet is if Discord actually helps out with whatever inevitable catastrophe takes place in the season finale, giving them knowledge or something that Celestia might not be able to.
This is my favorite episode in a while. Discord was hilarious, and this is definitely one of the funnier episodes. I guess he appeals to my inner troll (or sadism, depending on if you're asking Pinkie or not). I do think it's a bit silly how Celestia asked her student and her friends to reform what's essentially a God (or something close to it anyway), but for the sake of seeing Discord again I'll suspend that disbelief.
Oh, and this is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Half of them don't even look like the characters from the show they're supposed to be, so why do they need to start messing with the show to sell a new line of toys now?
