  1. Guys... Luna is asleep. C'mon use your heads.

Maybe, but I imagine that one of Equestria's major towns being seized and tormented by a unicorn using dark magic is kind of a higher priority than the Royal Nap Time. It's sort of her job to worry about this stuff.

Not to mention, she's all the way up in Canterlot.

Well, Celestia was in Saddle Arabia but Twilight only ruled her out since she couldn't contact her. You can see Canterlot from Ponyville.

  2. Best Epidsode Ever. I think this one is my new favorite.

Trixie actually learned (somewhat) a lesson and isn't a spiteful prick anymore. And the 4th wall break with Pinkie AND Twilight was awesome. Saddle Arabia is yet again a pun that nobody other than the writers could come up with. Overall, it was an awesome episode complete with Trixie being awesome. My only disappointment was when she said "Who else knows about magic and stuff?" and she said Zecora instead of Luna. I would've preferred Luna...

I agree. My first thought was Luna when she said that, then it cuts away to Zecora's hut and I'm like "Wait, WTF? ZECORA? THAT'S YOUR FIRST THOUGHT? SHE'S NOT EVEN A UNICORN. That was a perfect setup for Luna too, they're just teasing at this point!

  3. You fit at least two whole paragraphs into your rant, I think that fits the definition of 'overkill'.

Difference between TL;DR and overkill (at least the way you mean it). I haven't overkilled one of my forum rants since I was frequenting CS boards.

  4. Oh c'mon, it's not nearly as bad as what Foal and Twilight said. I just want Whooves to know that while I think what they said was overkill, the principle remains. He needs to tone it down. A lot.

Wait, seriously? I thought I was being gentle if anything, especially compared to Foal.

  5. Looks like a random piece of machinery is hanging loose from the bottom of my truck...Yet it's still running, as if nothing is wrong. I think it's possessed by some sort of oddly benign spirit.

  6. "I'm just here to shoot people and bitch about things."

Bahaha, that sums up every mind series ever.

Oh, and "I wasn't actually thinking about looting this place, but thanks for reminding me."

    *Angry Beeping*

Troll Courier? I'd love to see more of that.

Anyway I've enjoyed Season 4 so far, although I admit I really hate that intro song you picked. It's a total ear worm and it won't get out of my head. Out of curiosity, how long are you gonna stick with Boone?

  7. The problem isn't that it's a long fic, but how there isn't really any progression. It's a million words long, yet it doesn't feel like there's been any real progress with the whole 'Project Horizons' thing since we found out about it. The overall goal is there, and yes they are working towards it, but at this point almost every chapter is a sidetrack. Project Horizons is one of the greatest stories I've ever read, and the characters are amazing, but I only encounter the main plot every other chapter at best. I don't think we've had a single chapter devoted directly to their overall mission since Sanguine's last appearance (Maybe 52 is different, I haven't read it yet).

Funny, that's kind of how an actual Fallout game plays out if you think about it. 95% sidequests until you manage to stumble onto the final story mission. Doesn't seem to translate into a story as well as it does a game though, unfortunately.

  8. Project Horizons summed up.

    Just finish it Somber.. geez.

Total approximate wordcount as of Chapter 52: 1,047,898

At this point, I get the feeling that he'll somehow manage to get in a trip to the freaking post-war Crystal Empire before this is all done with.
