1. I know I'm going to either be digging my grave or stirring up a storm, but aren't there tertiary characteristics of one gender vs. another besides subjective interests?

Not all men like explosions, I don't care for football, etc.

  2. @Luis The answer to your question will be provided in-game.

    @Everyone: Game start.

    Chapter 1

    TREASURE EXPEDITION

    Large compensation for Multi-Vessel Escort

Paid for by the United Human State, Department of Exploration

Ask E. Argyle in Hammond Tavern, 10am on the 15th.

All things considered, Professor Argyle thought it rather unbecoming to be sitting in a tavern at five-to-10 in the morning. There he was, sitting by himself with a glass of cider sitting on a coaster, beside a datapad, alone with his thoughts and the bartender at the opposite end of the room, preoccupied with something on a holo-terminal. The atmosphere was sort of dingy, but more warm and merry than unlikable. The room, bathed in soft amber light and adorned with vintage-looking 24th century fixtures made oneself feel right at home, if it were a bar Argyle frequented, he thought to himself. Much of Carina Spaceport was like that; the authentic feel of the grand explorations of a century gone by, left to itself in the bygone eras of streamlining and doing away with less-than-essential trade routes and tourist destinations. Thus decaying into a very interesting retro-deco look and feel, everything from the civil quarters to the docks where all the ships lay.

The Professor glanced anxiously at his watch again, before the entrance door swung wide and ushering the first to appear.

  3. Uh... oh my, those questions make it apparent that either you haven't been informed, or I haven't conveyed, that this is a story-based RP and we're going to be travelling in a group.

However I've only written a story up to one chapter as a story (with multiple endings!). Depending on how we like that we'll see how it goes. Maybe PvP is in the future for space battling or something, who knows.

  4. *John Glenn's Launch Cancellation just announced. (Friendship 7 weather condition abort, January 27 1962)*

(Head of Mercury)"John, there's a problem with you wife."

    (John Glenn)"Is it serious?"

"We think it is. There's a phone hooked up, we've got her on it."

    -

"Annie? It's me. Are you alright? Tell me what's wrong."

[severe stuttering]"J-j-Johnson wwants me on t-T-V!"

    "The Vice-President?"

"Tell her to let the Networks in, John. It's coverage, you know."

"... Annie. Listen to me. If you don't want the Vice President, or the TV Networks or anybody else into the house then that is that, as far as I'm concerned. They are not coming in! And I will back you all the way on that, 100 percent on this and you tell them that! Okay? I don't want Johnson or any of the rest of them to set as much as one toe inside our house!"

    "K-k-okay." :)

"You tell them that 'Astronaut John Glenn' told you to say that. Heh."

    *Annie chuckles quietly*

    "Alright?"

    "Yes."

"..I'll talk to you in a little while."

    -

"Can't do that John. The Vice President is the head of the Program! You'd better think of the broader interests of-"

"You are way out of line here!"

    "I'm out of line?!"

    "Yes sir!"

*The other six Mercury Astronauts gather around*

    "I'm running this show here!"

    "We'll see about that."

"Yeah? Well I'm thinking about changing the order of flight assignments."

    (Gordon Cooper)"Yeah?"

    "Yeah!"

    (Deke Slater)"Who you gonna get?"

    "Who am I gonna get?"

(Scott Carpenter) "You heard what he said."

    (Wally Schirra) "That's right."

*The Head looks around, anger turning into exasperated defeat*

    "Just take it easy fellas."

    (Alan Shepard) "Step aside, Pal."

(The First Astronaut program in the USA was Mercury. Out of 1050 prospective Test Pilots, Navy Pilots, Aviators, Aeronautic Scientists and USAF Pilots, Only seven managed to pass all of the extensive testing to define the best and brightest that would become the first US Astronauts. And they were Bros.

Better quote still, from the same movie (The Right Stuff) was "Alan Shepard's Prayer".)

"Please God, don't let me fuck up."

    "Sorry, say again Freedom?"

"-I said everything looks Fine, Control."

  5. I think what he's trying to say is that any one episode from S1 is greater than 5x any one episode from S2 where S1 means Season One and S2 means Season Two.

On a completely unrelated matter, I was watching a clip of the Canucks on Youtube and noticed something about one of our players.

    henrik.png

Detail like that on his head doesn't even show up on HDTV.

Henrik never struck me the type at first...
