  1. We can make equations for seperate tasks, no robot needs to know everything. One robot who only knows how to decide on marketing and decision making as you said based on the equation for perfect or even good marketing and decision making we would give it. The robots will still only do things, we will only learn and control things with buttons, whoever is interested for the fun, or even for the pride and for required community service if noone is willing.

What you are saying can only happen if we insert into the robot an equation of learning like us. But of course we won't do that becase that would be stupid, dangerous and immoral and also incredibly difficult.

I say we are nearing the age of robots controlling almost every job of "doing", well, if we do get to that and not die of something stupid beforehand.

As you said, the only jobs in this scenario will be button pushing for shutdown in case of an emergency, design, invention & science, art.

  2. When robots can manufacture anything, we won't sell labor or objects anymore, then. All we'll be selling is the design, and the skill set.

Make robots that smart, and they're likely to decide that your irrational, emotional butt is more trouble than its worth. Or that your body would better serve the community (of robots) broken down into a nice, lubricating oil. ;)

Why does a robot who can manufacture have to be that smart? BMW I believe was recently the first company to open a factory completely operated by robots that make cars.

  3. We are talking about history of your family here. How much do you know about it? Do you have any famous people in your roots? (We're not talking 500-10000 years ago/common ancestors)

My parents are both Ukrainian, my mother born in Kiev and my father in Melitopol. They resided in Kiev for most of their life though. They are both university graduates and except for my dad being one of the engineers on the biggest aircraft in the world Antonov Mriya were average basically average smart people in the USSR.

Alright so now to the more interesting part.

One of my relatives is Ilyuhin, one of the oldest and most respected communists.

My grandfather's mother and father were apparently Trotskyists or accused of being trotskyists and were shot by Stalin when my grandfather was a child.

One of my relatives I recently found out about after some research (relative through my grand-grandfather other son), died in Penza, he was the communist head of the region and apparently it is suspected putin killed him. I was just about to write to him too.

One of my relatives is suspected to be a russian empire higher rank military person (Officer? General? It's hard to tell through the photo I have) who asked the Czar to marry a polish woman.

After some studying I came to the conclusion that going back 100 years, my relatives were mostly Russian, some zaporizhian cossacks, and some polish.

This would make me around 90% Russkrainian and 10 % Polish ethnicly as far as I know.

  4. Is your hypothesis that everything is there and moves to the end for its' own beggining?

A looped sequence triggering itself making the meaning and purpose of life to start itself again?

Interesting idea and brings the question whether there is something outside our loop....

Meaning, is there other Circles like ours?

  5. I'm taking a break. It's been a solid morning of work. I replied to about 30 mails, yelled at a couple of people, unraveled a weird billing mistery and helped out a really hot coworker. So now I can browse the forums for a few minutes.

Did you slap that coworker on the ass yet?
