DNA is the evidence for Monotheism as in it is so complex that it is just impossible to think that it was created by randomness and that God must've created this.
.
This is the Argument from Incredulity fallacy, combined with Hoyle's Fallacy.
It's been debunked in the evolution thread already, Repeating it will not make it true now.
I've never read that part then. First I'm making sure that since the Evolutionary thread I am decided i am still a monotheist, what changed is that I am an agnostic when it comes to religion and it's connection to God. But I do have a very strong belief in some kind of spirit (something that is not physical and most likely a soul, incorporeal intelligence). I put my strategy simply to live further and wait, if I get a sign or find out something more then i will put myself into a stronger position or sometime go on an adventure to Jerusalem, Egypt to specifically find out myself instead of sitting on the computer. I should actually do it.
Btw, the incredulity fallacy has nothing to do with it. I do believe in Evolution personally as I said before though. The Hoyle fallacy itself isn't entirely correct either. There is numerous other possibilities and as I said you will view it depending on what position you have.
Doom Shepherd, to prove spiritism, go to a dark magic store and buy yourself some tools, but I warn you, you may be braking some balance or doing something evilish, but I'm sure you don't believe in that crap anyways so you won't be anxious or expecting anything. I know this works as I had numerous different trusted friends who "talked" through this to their dead grandmas and said they will never do it again as it scared them to death.
Check this out, it's actually very complex stuff:
http://www.explorespiritism.com/
And try this already as you seem to be sooo convinced there is nothing out there (I have no responsiblity to what may happen to you)

EDIT: Wow, shepherd, so hard to figure out who minus repped me..... .
Well if you want to prove to yourself that there are no spirits, go ahead, use those tools, you know you want it.

You are one scary guy, Doom Shepherd.
What about the three grand children damn it.

We all know that...

I've read the Half-Life bible actually. Found an ebook torrent of it.
!?!??!?!?!

Just found this:
The Gonarch was apparently born very simply, when someone at Valve asked, according to Gabe Newell, "Why don't we put a giant testicle on a 20-foot-tall armored spider?"

I can answer that for him.
There is only two ways for a transition to communism.
A very slow voting transition through education and an established social democracy like in the EU or a military coup d'etat.
I don't know which he prefers.
-
Jumpyed, the website is good but it's certainly not the "Half-lfie Bible" I'm trying to get solely more information on this thread, regardless of source. That's the point of this thread, we all can learn a thing or two, not specifically made the thread for my questions
Maybe leaks, what valve said once, in game notices... etc.
A headcrab and a headshot... Oh god, that is a difficult question, have you tried shooting it in the mouth?
-
A very good interesting philosophical question this time, +rep just for that.
By the way my last post about what would happen, of course maybe not in that sequence, just me predicting at that time, but I was saying that in the end there would be the same situation as ours
So far, I think for that to happen the robots would have a much lower IQ then us. I have nothing else on that so far, it seems like such an impossible or contradicting situation.
-
For the record, not an authoritarian, don't want a single-party state, don't want censorship, want freedom of religion, etc.
Well, yeah that's not part of modern communism of course and is one of those more personal Karl Marx beliefs.
I was communist for a long time too, but well, there's this major problem,
for communism to work though we need either smart and ready people actually willing to sacrifice their own lives for the wealth of their offsprings or we need a huge amount of cash invested in the government before-hand and we don't have those kind of people or countries ready to do that especially if it's investment/trade with another country.
What I'm saying is that communism doesn't pump money fast, it's a stable government but it will take 100 years with todays technology without any investment to get to the range were today's capitalist countries are and too many people would just not accept that even if it means their own offsprings will live better and that will just bring to corruption. As I said an investment or at least trade could reduce those years.
So, I came to the conclusion there is only one way for communism/socialism to work so far:
It would work on the municipal level in a small town or city with people who aren't corrupt, we should try that once as a scientific experiment, maybe it will show some good results.

I want to make something clear about evidence.
Consider this Daniel:
DNA is the evidence for evolution as in, it shows mutations, it evolves, copies itself etc etc and that is the basic theory of evolution.
DNA is the evidence for Monotheism as in it is so complex that it is just impossible to think that it was created by randomness and that God must've created this.
As you can see, Mutations is a fact. So DNA is evidence that mutations is a fact.
What most people don't see is that DNA is NOT and evidence for Evolution nor Creationalism, it supports it only if you already believe in or think like an evolutionist or creationalist respectively.
Lots of movements used both theories as what they called "evidence and facts", for example Nazism, Slavery, Crusaders....
It usually works like this, I say the world is "2+2=3" and someone proves that 2 exists. Then i say that "2" is the proof for 2+2=3.
But what about 2+6+7=3 or 1234654+456=7 both are supported by the same evidence.

Just because the coccyx still does something doesn't mean that it's not evidence of a tail. Remember, things just don't "turn on" or "turn off" simply because something is "being created" or "is vanishing". Everything still has a use for that particular creature as it's vanishing or coming into being. Vestigial =/= Useless
But, I am biased and I admit it. I am biased to facts and evidence. It's going to take a lot to make me believe otherwise. About as much as what made me believe in this in the first place.
Well firstly, no-no-no, everyone believes in facts and evidence, let's be clear that you are biased as in you only consider what is suggested as facts and evidence by scientists and that the articles you believe in, studied or read were all obviously suggsted facts and evidence for evolution
Alright, now to the coccyx, to be honest to me it's as low as pascals wager but on the atheist side of the view as a suggestion.
Numerous possibilities not taken in account for.
-
My favourite infomercial:
Also this:
-
As for explaining the Coccyx, or using it as a sole suggestion for mankind to once have had a tail is a bit low, there is numerous functions the coccyx has, like the transfer of weight on the coccyx while sitting down
Not that I oppose that suggestion or anything.
1. Danielsangeo, you will not understand a creationalists view (Especially from me) and that's fine. I am a guy who can understand both views (Proven by the fact that I had numerous discussions in real life with both and it wasn't controversial but mostly logical and solid talk)
2. Evidence for you, opinion for most creationalists. What you think of that....irrelevant.
Why don't you do what I did:
Take a paper and write down all the possibilities of how the world could've started with what you know. Provide the source for everything you know and you might realize a few leaks. You will probably understand the world better after.
You are biased Daniel, it's easy to spot for someone who studied psychology.
The first step is in admitting that.

In that case the answer will be unsatisfying to you since it's going to assume the prophecy books and Monotheism are correct and use the prophecy books' wording as facts to form the explanation.
Oh, and don't bother answering "Well that's blasphemy" or "That's unscientific" it is an opinion and nothing else. Yours is an opinion which is supported by most scientists and nothing else.
Just don't bother trying to understand creationalism, you have different reasoning to believe in monotheism.
EDIT: I forgot, also there is the other types of creationism which have nothing to do with the God most people believe in are merely attempts at a logical explanation of the world and are supported by the view of the philosopher how the world works. Often a change in the view of how the world works can change the philosophers religion.
-
It will be the same answer as an atheist scientists one....
with the difference being an additonal "In the beginning there was God though"
-
Alright, another question now, what is the antlion's origins?
We didn't see any on Xen or on earth in Hl1 yet they appear to have raided the earth by HL2?
-
Drinking "Jamican Ginger Beer" for the first time and very angry as it doesn't taste like beer nor jamaica but more like hot hell in your mouth.
-
Why can't a creationist ever answer these questions?
What are you implying, I'll just find you a creationist scientist and he will explain it. ^^

I can't vote in the poll because it doesn't have "both".
Religion has been a major driver in the formation of our current modern society but is that a good thing or a bad thing? I believe that we could've been further along if it weren't for the anti-progress themes coming out of major portions of religious dogma. I mean, we're still fighting over who can have sex with who for cripes' sake!
Religion has a tendency to try to worm its way into government when they should be separate; religion should stay out of government and government should stay out of religion.
Now, I'm not saying that religion is wholly bad. There are still people that claim that they'd be no more than a vicious brute without religion. I'm glad that religion is there to keep these people from harming others, though I find it very sad. HOWEVER, religion also is used to justify horrific atrocities, whether it's a mother drowning her child in a bathtub because "God told her to" to flying planes into buildings of innocent people to starting wars because "God told me to".
Now, these people would probably find other reasons to do such, but I've been in conversations with people that state, and I quote: "I have nothing against gay people, but God said no." Are they lying? Do they actually have a problem with gay people and they're blaming God for it? Or, is it because God supposedly said so that they don't want their wishes to become law, as it were? I don't know.
On the good hand, though, religion has made a lot of beautiful structures and has provided a lot of charitable help, which is a good thing, though I don't really see a need for it to have a religious element, but I do recognize their work.
I believe religion is both good and bad, which is why I can't vote in the poll as it currently stands. I believe that there will be a time, however, that religion will become a quaint notion and that secularism will be the name of the game. But I could be wrong.
Daniel, at first I was surprised at what you said, as here in Ukraine 90 % of people are atheists. Then i checked the statistics on the web and was surprised, apparently the Us is only 4 % secular????? No country in Europe has such a low atheist percentage. That's interesting, you guys have everything different there. i actually debate people here that some of the are way too atheist/rejectist, rejecting the idea of the possibility even of spiritual anything or even simple scientificly unexplained black magic although i know it's a possibilty.

Asahina, who is Gordon's former Girlfriend, Saw Gordon with his brother John, eating space brownies with headcrab zombie icing, and she was pissed at God for not making her beautiful enough for him, instead he chose Jessica, who was John Freeman's wife! John Freeman fucked Gordon up because he didn't have the money to get a crowbar, instead buying teletubbies which caused Gordon to jump on top of lung and use wepon against zombie ghosts! Then Captain Tightpants, surprisingly pantless today, had an epiphany "Kaylee was right next to bees that were angry and shooting lazoooors!" Captain Tightpants said "UGH BOOGA BIM" and Gordon Freeman replied "Ma lazoooor!" and everything exploded, headcrab zombie Icing and cake was seriously friggin' everywhere. Gordon felt guilty and John started crying a pond. Just then an antelope crashed through to the surface from the land called "Under the Surface". All of a sudden there was a huge rift and Asahina disappeared. Someone said something about the Combine attacking John Freeman by kidnapping Asahina, John Freeman frowned and said, "Avast!" He then got his grappling hook stuck in an asshole of a vortigant who said "Why, thanks, John!"

Kubic & Trick - Easy (Original Mix)

Damn, I myself forgot about this game, but I do remember I had some fun with it when I was younger.
I know that it's a strategy game released 1999 and got obscure due to the bigger strategy games by bigger companies like Blizzard and Microsoft.
Well Pc Gamer gave it a 90% so you know it's good. I will edit after I play.
EDIT: I never had too much time to play it but here is the main description and pictures of it after a year lol:

Important Facts:
1. 12 Human Civilizations, 7 Alien (Fryhtan) Civilizations.
2. Fryhtan Wars retains a great deal of concepts from its predecessors that distinguished it from other strategy games. In other words it has spies, an interresting economic system that is very hard to explain, heroes, Reputation/Rebelion in Human Towns... etc
3. Unlike in other RTS games this one features fewer buildings to manage.
4. Very wide contrast of gameplay style between civilizations and aliens.
5. Human kingdoms often contain multiple nationalities, and likewise Fryhtan kingdoms can also contain multiple species.
6. Heroes are very cool and interesting as are economics in this game very weird.
7. Game doesn't require much micro as Starcraft or Warcraft.
Who would play it:
- If you love old RTS style games like Age of Empires or Total Anihilation.
- If you like Aliens vs Humans sort of thing and realistic nations/units mixed with unrealistic nations/units sort of thing.
- If you don't mind fantasy in general.
- If you're willing to try something new.
- If you like Strategy which are not based on APM.
-
Does anyone remember the seven kingdoms? I used to enjoy that game a while back, but I don't know remember much about it... maybe it was even crap and I just think it was good.
Seven Kingdoms 2 is the one I'm talking about.
There was these alien races Frythians... I think.. I should re-install this game.

Dude, first of, those are add-ons not mods. Mods shall not be considered but add-ons are official story line additions.
Secondly the black ops are the replacement of the soldier not those aliens...
