Yes, as BTG asks... maybe we can brainstorm on some alternatives?..
Also,
I literally have to spend every cent of my pay for food. None for savings. I won't have a future, but at fucking least I'll have some weight.Savings? From a KFC salary? Just forget about it and spend it all on food (or whatever else you like) with clear conscience. There will be time for making savings, it's just not that time yet.
Parents threaten me that if I don't gain weight, then they won't let me go to America next year. You can threaten them back that you won't go to America and will keep staying with them instead - usually that makes parents willing to reconsider things very quickly...
I have a dentist appointment, probably going to be them complaining some more and pulling out more teeth.Another one? Are they trying to pull all your teeth so you couldn't bite them?
I won't be able to eat for a few more days. You can just tell that to your father if he'll try to complain about the buns, oh, and remind him about his demand for your gaining weight. You can't gain weight without eating, can you? What can he say to that?

If you click on the 2nd cell from the left on a track, it will open a dialog where you can select the channel (and also set instruments) for the track, you can also name the track there.

I find you two are in serious violation of Parkinson's law. Cease and desist immediately. Or else.

Do you mean you have notes on separate tracks but when you change the instrument on one, the other is also changed with it?
If yes - they are probably set to the same channel (the number in the leftmost column in trackwin shows the channel number). You just need to select a separate channel for each track and you will be able to set instruments on each one independently. You can use any channel from 1 to 16 except 10, which is for drums/percussion.

Crap. That's complicated.
On the other hand, it's beginning to sound like Fleetwood Mac...
On a more serious note, move both of them to the category of "past adventures" in your mind and concentrate on other things. There will be other opportunities and, on the love front, everything that happens is for the best, even if it's hard to tell so on the day. I'd have a pint with you but for me it's easier to get to New York than to Newcastle

Nice!
Also, Vapy, I see your name as; "Vay-pe", but I always say/think it as; "Vap-pe" like... Tappy or Sappy.I guess, it's more of the latter - it's a made-up word, anyway...
My life goal is to just settle down, make my husband some breakfast and cuddle him for a few hours. X3 That's all I want. It sounds like heaven to me.But you need to think of what are you going to do with the rest of your time.
if guys really want a faithful women, they should BE faithful.Mutual trust and respect do a lot to ensure both partners stay faithful. The other thing is - as mundane as it sounds - having enough sex. Most men, if they do go astray, are not planning to leave their spouse (which any woman starting an affair with a married man should better remember
), they just try to "top up" what they think is somewhat lacking in their established relationship.Regards

Yeah, I also feel I need to pause and think for a while because the existing version is still in my head (I've heard in now, what, a hundred times maybe?).
Let's take one step at a time. First - the drums and the intro section, then everything else.
Weird Saxaphone Jazz thing in the middle of the song:I dislike how it suddenly cuts off at 1:55.
By way of an explanation - the way it is now, the sax solo goes through a local climax and merges with the organ to start building up for the coda. The abrupt change was intentional - as close to creating a feel of a time signature change as I could think of, without actually doing one. I was rather proud of that part, oh well

But when the whole thing will get restructured, maybe sax won't be appropriate at all - we'll see when we get there...The intro seems a little too bland compared to the rest of the song. when it's just piano at first, it seems like a cute little ballad that a pianist plays at a music festival.
I find that contrast and surprise do a lot for making a piece of music interesting to me. I guess, that's why I like the music I like. Take a look at the intro in this, as an illustration (you only really need to listen to the beginning but I recommend the entire song - it's very good - just don't turn the volume up to 11 in the quiet part of the intro!):

the organ WILL have to fade in no matter what. With no sudden beat to come in with, the organ will need to fade in to really sound right
Alright, OK, I got it! The organ will fade in.

Not at all! It's your song - you're the boss.

If you have any sugar and apples (or other fruit) you can make a kind of charlotte cake - just soak the bread in milk until it's totally soft, mix it up into a uniform mass, add sliced fruit, sugar and boil on the hob on small fire until the liquid mostly evaporates and the whole thing looks spongy. My grandmother used to do it in Russia when we had no better ingredients for anything fancier...

Of course, fade-ins are easy - they can simply be painted in the sequencer.
I actually liked the attack when the organ came in - that's why I also started the drums there - to emphasize the moment. Now I see what you mean - I will tame it down. Will take me a few days though - this coming week is going to be busy for me

Might work for this, as it is designed to house around 10,000 people.
Put them all on an island and make them really work for a living

A question related to topic #3 - I hear a lot recently about "sexual objectification" of women and, as a consequence, the necessity to ban everything from lingerie ads to lads magazines to porn to miniskirts. This "objectification" is presented as a confirmed fact, something the existence of which is not debatable.
Yet, what does it even mean?
Do they think that men will prefer seeing women as mindless inanimate objects (if that is the meaning of the word "object" here), given an opportunity? But why would men sooner be attracted to an object, rather than to a real person?
On the other hand, if under "sex object" they mean a "target for sexual attention" - why would women want to not ever be the targets of men's sexual attention? How will the species survive then?
Or, maybe it means that men will start seeing women as targets for sexual attention constantly, at all times? But where will all the hormones for such supersexedness come from, biologically? Wouldn't it also require continuous supply of Viagra and when will we all work to make enough money for that?
Maybe it means that women will work to make all that Viagra while men are busy chatting them up - but wouldn't the women then be in full control of the situation? I mean - just stop making the pills and the men are all done for
I'm confused...
OK, that was more than one question...
-
OK, I'll work on it. Do you have any particular moments where for you feel the instruments clash and need volume rebalancing?
The drums - I admit, I've pulled all the stops and made them as jazz/prog as possible. We'd need a high-class percussionist like Bruford or Mastelotto + another drummer for congos if it was ever to be played live.
I'll tone them down, simplify and see how it sounds.Organs are just meant to be played as single solid chords.I am sure, Herr Bach would have begged to disagree very strongly with that sentiment!
In prog rock music, organs and synths are often given the lead and as my main music interest lies in prog, it must have influenced the way I approached this arrangement. To illustrate, here are some classic prog numbers with prominent keyboards. I have not tried to copy/emulate any specific track (actually, I have not listened to them for months) but subconsciously, they must have had an influence:
Genesis - Riding the Scree
Caravan - Nine Feet Underground
Rick Wakeman - Anne of Cleves
I could come up with many more, given some time to think - these are just the one that sprung to mind immediately...
Oh, and this - one of the earliest prog rock numbers

The crotch is the root of evil.
Why?

Bad judgment, lack of will power and empathic deficiency - those are the culprits. But good old desire? It's yours to control and direct - use it well, and that's what has been driving the rise of our culture and civilisation...
...the next time I have sex, it will be as a form of affection and love, not lust. Not much harm in adding a bit of lust to love, if you ask me, but I certainly agree - sex without emotional connection, or when drunk - is a total waste of sex.
...understand feminist ideology. As a result, I feel pretty bad whenever I catch myself 'looking' at a woman.Somebody has exploited your emotional upset after a break up of a relationship and sent you off on a guilt trip, my friend. Not very ethical of them, I should say...
Making the beast with two backs would cause a lot of problems. Not necessarily problems but it will definitely change things. Like in that song -
"If we made love now would that change all
that has gone before?
Of course it would, there's no way it could ever
be the same..."
When people give a thought about what it will be like on the day after, as you two have done, they can make the right and informed decision. Whether then it's "yes" or "no" is equally moral and good as long as it's what works for both of them.

Yes, there is a whole existing thread for this discussion and we did discuss the life out of it already, I recall

Just want to say that I did not mean any disrespect in my post above - just presented a point of view.

Fairness doesn't work, as when everything's fair, people don't compete. Example: A bunch of kids go to a pine car derby, all of them get some form of trophy even if all they did was attach wheels to the block of wood and use that.
But to me that is an example of unfairness. If you give equal rewards to all, regardless of their achievement, you are being unfair to those who have actually deserved it.
So I don't think being "fair" is the same as being anti-competitive. I think "fair" is good, in its true meaning.
As to feminism, I agree, the idea of a simple arithmetic equality in everything seems ludicrous to me. Luckily, it only attracts the most mindless militant feminists and as any kind of bigots they will always remain a tiny minority.
Unluckily, though, some of these "ideas" are being exploited by politicians to achieve their own nefarious ends, but that's life.
Having said all that, I personally believe in the equality of rights. If a woman is capable of doing the same things and as well as a man, she should have the right to do them and to get compensated as much as if a man did them in her place.
Treating women as a lesser-kind humans in any way is deeply repugnant to me, but I accept that there are innate differences between us and I am pleased that they exist! Because of them we as a species are able to approach problems in different ways and look at things from different angles.
And, I have to admit, I do also like to look at women from different angles as well.
The corruption might get obliterated in the next 20 yearsWhy, that would be a welcome surprise! I won't hold my breath though. Right these past couple of days I found myself having to deal with an example of corruption and unfair play, which will make my life very difficult over the next couple of months, likely longer. So, I find it impossible to believe in the eventual betterment of humanity, at least at this particular moment.
