  1. So I needed to download Hugh Jelly for something, and it was huge so I opened it in a new window, and this is what it looked like:

It scares me, but I also kind of want it on my background. You can't get cropping and composition like that on purpose.

  2. I actually saw that character balance sheet and filled it out. I knew my character wasn't very interesting, but it was worse than I thought. I just thought she had designated protagonist syndrome.

I'm going through that list very nevously as I repeatedly either say "phew" or scream "BUT THERE'S A REASON SHE CAN DO THAT." I need whooves and TS to help me out.

EDIT: I start off pretty bad but as I went down the list saw less and less. Nothing applies to her below "Accessories."

  3. Roommate problems.

Shiny, you tell that little yaysucker that if he doesn't like you, he's gonna have to yaying deal with it. Tell his spoiled little brat yay you aren't taking his yay. Yay him. He doesn't want a roomate? Tell him to get his own yaying apartment. You got YOUR arrangements from the Deans and it's tough yay for him if he doesn't like it. Tell him that when you go to college, you're at the bottom of the yaying ladder and you aren't gonna get the yay you want. IF YOU DO NOT FIRM UP AND TELL THIS LITTLE TWAT OFF I WILL PERSONALLY KICK YOUR yay! WHO CARES IF HE DOESN'T LIKE YOU?! IF HE yayS WITH YOU, GET THE yayING DISCIPLINARY DEPARTMENT ON HIS LITTLE yay-ya! Yay. HIM. HE CAN'T PUSH YOU THE yay AROUND DAMMIT! STAND UP FOR YOURSELF! DO YOU WANNA LIVE IN A yayHOLE OR WOULD YOU RATHER A NICER DORM?! Make the damn choice.

    1. He does like me, and we've been doing fine so far.

    2. He does want a roommate, just one of his friends.

    3. The Dean didn't give us our rooms, he picked this room and then I picked it later, before his friend could.

    4. We're both at the same position on the metaphorical ladder.

    5. He's not going to do anything to me.

    6. He's not pushing me around, he's asking politely.

Honestly, it's only logical. If you had to get a dorm room with either A) your friend or B) some random guy, you would go with A. I'm happy to accommodate the change so long as it doesn't adversely affect me.

  4. How's that for hard to listen to?

^painful quality.. I'd say fairly hard.

Welcome to older Renard, where "painful quality" was exactly what he went for sometimes.

Bangarang - Skrillex. Not even my doing either. Someone in the school atrium decided to crank it.

    OT: various pony music.

  5. I have a tumblr that I very recently started actually posting stuff to, usually pony stuff or general creativity stuff, or completely random stuff. The only other tumblr fandoms I'm part of are gravity falls and avatar. http://www.mistershinyobject.tumblr.com

I already follow you, and you've got some decent stuff. When you were talking about all the stuff you hated that Mary Sues, I immediately checked that my character didn't do the same. I was so happy when I figured out she didn't, but then realized that almost all of her side characters do, at least partially (not technically bandits, and she didn't really run away from home so much as ask to leave).

  6. Shiny, you pimp. I don't get out, so I also don't get numbers or talk to girls that I don't already know. In Newark, apparently there are a lot of bronies around when the U of D starts classes, but all I ever see is a bunch of fashion-conscious, materialistic, wanna-be Jersey/ Cali girls, so yea. I feel like I'm never going to really have multiple girlfriends. When I find the one I want to at least try to spend my life with, that'll be that.

First: If you mean Newark New Jersey, then you were only a few miles away from Bronycon. If not, I'm sure there's a brony group nearby.

Second: There are groups of nerds somewhere in that college. Find them. For me it was just as easy as walking over to a table where a bunch of kids were playing Magic: The Gathering (which I don't play, but still).

  7. Just came back form my college's "Welcome Back Dance." I was trying to get the quiet, introverted women to join in. The first 2 I tried to convince just kept walking away and I ended up following them to their dorm, the second group disappeared when I wen to get a drink, the third I managed to get her to turn around halfway to her dorm but she never came back after getting water, and the fourth we ended up having a nice conversation and went to get soft pretzels after the party ended.
