On Grimdark: I only partially avoid it. Fallout Equestria is the only straighforward grim dark I have read/enjoyed. I liked the Cupcakes animation, but that was goofy grimdark not serious grimdark, and I follow the grimdark Big Mac tumblr, but the joke is that it's not really grimdark at all.

Then again, grimdarkness is really associated with fanfics, and I don't really read fanfics. In fact, I realised the other day that I have read as many fanfics as I have written/edited (3).

The Avengers favorites: Hulk is fluttershy, as said earlier; Captain America would be Applejack(faithful, loyal, straightforward, and no magic, like him); Iron man is most similar to Rainbow Dash in his extremeness and pride, but his favorite would be Twilight because she's smart and incredibly powerful or Pinkie because they do whatever they want; Thor would be another fluttershy fan because all the rest would just get on his nerves; Black Widow would like Rarity because of her subtle nature and similar interrogation techniques; Hawkeye I don't know, none of them are really his style.

I understand. It can be a hard thing to come to terms with. I didn't become a brony until long after becoming familiar with my old forum's pony thread, so I didn't really have to go through that. Like I said, it can be a bit overwhelming, but just keep up with this thread and visit our suggestions when you feel like it. No rush.

semi-related: I found out that the guy who runs the central Wisconsin brony group hasn't "come out of the stable" to his family. Kind of sad, but sometimes you just can't, and that's okay.

I stopped reading at "Full-Body spandex suits." I'm not really one for cosplay, participating or viewing, so I can't really give a good opinion. I liked this guy's Spitfire, though. He's one of about 3 cosplayers I actually liked enough to take a picture of.

Just google it and add "tumblr" to the search. Or just follow this link and look around from there.

Though really, the tumblr ponies and fanfictions are often a bit overwhelming, both in number and scope. And we could go on for 5 pages about our favorite musicians, but to try and stay neutral I will instead post a link to Everfree Radio's top 100 from the beginning of the year. You can also listen to their radio in general for good songs.

Jeez, I'm gone for two days and I miss a conversion, a not-conversion but acceptance, an executive ruling, and a sexy sexy romance over the last 4 pages. Luckily Collective Foal pretty much listed my suggestions for episodes (though I usually limit it to Dragonshy, sonic Rainboom, or Suited for success [the last because many professionals can relate to the stressful client-designer relationship]). Though Thank you Pinkie for specifically calling me out as the go-to brony for stuff like that.

I remember it, mostly. Good show, clever writing, but it kind of lost it's way toward the end. Also every so often stuff wouldn't make sense.

How Smart is this phone? If you can, I'd say get minecraft mobile. It's a weird version of minecraft, but a good time killer if you can get invested.

If you can't do that, but can still run browser games and the like, play a lot of Happy Wheels. It's got lots of content and is continually adding more, and can get fairly addictive, but still comes in bite-size chunks.
