  1. I came here to post that Star Wars dance thing, but someone beat me to it.

Never has something so wrong been so right. Lando and Han having a dance battle makes so little sense but at the same time seems so right.

  2. Thats one of the strong points of the system. It makes for better team strategizing so you can have a variety of people for different situations rather than just having everyone have everything.

As for not working in singleplayer, that depends on the game.In games like DNF, HL, or Ratchet and Clank where you are pretty much the single-handed savior of the universe, it makes sense to have the character be a walking arsenal who can take on different enemy types via various methods. Then there are games like Fallout 3 or Borderlands where you don't keep all your weapons nor stick with very few, and thats supposed to reflect the scavenger-like nature of the games. Games like Call of Duty or Gears of War try (or tried) to reinforce the idea of being another cog in the machine, a nameless soldier (hence CoD protaganists getting shot and Gears having coffins on their chests).

By all rights, Bioshock should have had weapon swaps to enforce both the supposed normalcy of the main character and the "everything just barely works" nature of the game. Halo, by all rights, should be a weapon wheel game, if not for the similarities in weapon types causing redundancy (but thats a whole other topic).

And thats why I hate chatting live. I can never organize my thoughts before the next guy.

  3. Sorry, just felt this needed a strong counter argument. :P

    TL:DR:

In the end it's really how it's utilized. You cannot bash the system as a whole, as there's always a way to make something work. The way I see it, if the gameplay wasn't built to accommodate the weapon system, you've got yourself a problem.

  4. I bet you wouldn't have posted that if I would have won it. And I tried my best. Like I said, I don't believe that any system is completely bad if it has been successful.

And why did you pick on of our chats that I couldn't spell. And why did you leave the portion about the supple depot thing. And why are you posting it at all.

Anyway, here is a gif that I wanted to share so badly that l I came here during work.

  5. I liked this episode, especially considering it was a CMC episode, and one about getting cutie marks none the less.

Probably because they actually felt bad about it afterwards. Also I loved the shout outs, including Trixie, smartypants, and RD fan club (look at the posters in the clubhouse). And I feel that featherweight's ability to take pictures at exactly the wrong time reflects our own tendencies to do the same all to well.

Force fields, cutie marks on fur and not skin, and blackmail is now canon

I want a gif of Fluttershy disappearing under the table. Just because she looks so cute and it has practical applications as a reaction image. Also one of Angel staring as he closes the door with Fluttershy in the background.

  6. the "mania" part makes it sound like a psychological disorder, whcih doesn't usually get you off of work. Try finding one with a more frightening name.

Also, say "the doctors couldn't figure out what it was, but they said worst case scenario is that its Clinomania. They say I've already started the pandiculation [yawning and stretching at the same time]."

And adding "its contagious" always helps.

  7. You forgot to point out that all of my Steam games don't have their desktop icons except for TF2, L4D, and portal 2, which I fixed by manually looking through my computer for them. Also I have way more files saved to the desktop than I rightfully should.

  8. I really want to learn Japanese, and not for the usual reasons. I have no intention of reading manga or watching animes in Japanese. I'm going into the video game industry, and feel it would be a good thing to know.

I tried for the longest time to find a way to learn it early, but alas I never got more than a 2 week summer course. Luckily I go to a college that teaches it, but the slots fill incredibly quick and its a big commitment that apparently has classes all week.

  9. I actually want to show my desktop but my printscreen button is working oddly. It only copies the icons, not the background, not the text, sometimes not the icon accept for the tiny arrow and none of the broken icons. The weirdest part is that though it doesn't show the text, it does show its' shadow, and the color of the shadow is the compliment of whatever color was on the background behind it.

And Japanese named person, I have never seen a desktop with Audition and no other Adobe creative suites program. Its one of those I just don't get what they do, like Encore or InDesign or Flex.

  10. Inappropriate in that it is literally called (National Lampoon's) Dirty Movie. Have you ever heard of Kentucky Fried movie? Its kind of like that. But since you asked, they have watched porn behind me. They had all their clothes on, mind you, and just sat there watching it with two of their friends while I turned my headphone volume waaaaaay up.

And may I say your title made me do a double take.
