That series has so, so many throwbacks and brick jokes, its miraculous. Though it took me a while to get used to the new voices. I absolutely adore that series.

Also, an irl friend finally convinced me to make a ponysona. His name is Shiny Object, and he's a unicorn. Couldn't think of a Cutie Mark though.

Luckily he only drew the top half anyway. And Pinkie, my OC is actually meant to look a bit like a cross between irl me (the color, the height) and Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes(the hair, the big eyes). It is a ponysona, after all. Also I almost always wear a purple hoodie and watch, so that's why they're in there.

I am currently working on making Lightning Star, and decided with a unicorn and pegasus I still need a Earth Pony (and a mare), who I have yet to name. Though I know her hair will be poofy and her cutie mark is an open book with a flower growing out of it.

And since I'm here, I thought I'd show you guys my failed attempt at ponifying my avatar, which for whatever reason is already online.

So I got Tetrapony to draw my OC on his livestream. He said he liked mine, though considering how many over-accessorized, neon colored, alicorn-demons he gets, I think he just enjoyed doing a normal pony. I don't know why it says "win" in the corner.

I haven't decided if I'm going to make it my Avatar here, but I probably will on any pony-dedicated forums of mine (of which I am part of too few).

I prefer the fandom to the show on occasion. Sometimes the fandom is more impressive than the show.

Oh, and not only has Pinkie Pie hacked Chrome, but Rainbow Dash invaded Facebook HQ.

So I saw that in the new blind bag, Lyra was actually named Lyra Heartstrings. This only proves how powerful we are. Give it a couple of months and her name will actually be Lyra.

Not only that, Lulamoon has been renamed Trixie Lulamoon (since the two share the exact same design), there are now blind bags of the 2 3 princesses (Though Luna looks nothing like either of her appearances, too purple), and saphire shores.

Did anyone else think that Twilight and Rainbow Dash sounded slightly different. Pinkie sounds fine, though.

Almost missed that in all the CMC posts. For whatever reason, almost any time I watch an episode everyone sounds different. I don't know why, and usually it isn't there when I watch it again, but yeah. My only guess is that I remember their high definition voices, but watch it in standard def so as to catch it sooner.

As for aggro, whatever that means, I like having one thing about the show I dislike. Liking ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING just feels weird, and makes me feel like I'm just an ignorant fan-boy.

As for my favorite CMC, I'd have to say Sweetie Belle. Scootaloo is stupid awesome, but sadly she doesn't have enough character yet (though more than Applebloom, despite having 6 or so fewer episodes). Sweetie Belle is awesome. The fact that she is both nothing like her sister (cares less about appearances, more brash, goofy) and just like her (generous/helpful, creative, theatrical) is just like what sibling are like. And the fact that she is the origin of both Sweetie-bot and Thracker Zod is awesome.

Wait, what's wrong with Applebloom?

*Ahem* in no particular order:

 

 

She stopped being Twist's friend the moment she got her cutie mark.

Her adorableness is forced instead of honest like others

She will manipulate and lie to people to get her way

She will give up on something as soon as it ceases to be useful to her

She whines

They make more episodes about her than they do the other CMCs for no good reason

In Family appreciation day the only reason she doesn't completely disown her grandmother isn't because she's family but because other kids find her interesting

Her and her two friends brought about a god of chaos (the fact that he was awesome is a moot point)

She only becomes friends with people because she thinks they can get her what she wants

She's a loud mouth, and that often gets her and her friends and her family in trouble

She is an annoying little kid

She has a self-destructive aversion to authority

She has yet to actually learn her lesson from any of her episodes

Her entire character can be summed up with "Applebloom's sister who wants a cutie mark"

She detracts attention from the other, more interesting CMCs

Her accent on top of her childish voice is just too much

 

Some of those may overlap, and some may be debatable, but I think you get the idea.

I kinda like the CMCs myself. They're adorable, and it's entertaining to watch them inadvertently trolling. Plus the power metal version of the CMC theme song is pretty much my favorite song ever.

Now that they're getting episodes that don't revolve around just getting cutie marks, they're becoming less one-dimensional. I can't wait until Scootaloo gets her own episode, and I really like Sweetie Belle, I think her sister dynamic with Rarity is perfect.

But Applebloom?

I hate Applebloom.

With a passion.
