  1. yup, it happens to everyone who doesn't like the show.

I went Black Friday shopping with my neighbor and told him I was a brony. He went "Uuuughh," to which I replied "I'll make you a darn good brony yet." Last week he put on facebook that I was right.

I felt overcome with power for some reason.

  2. My roommate has been playing MW3 for the last 7 hours. Our room only has one ethernet cable, and neither my PC nor his xbox can use wi-fi. I busied myself for 5 of those hours, and I'm pretty sure he played the last hour just to bug me.

I haven't been on the internet since 3AM last night.

  3. Okay, let me re-phrase that:

I'm not watching it till Saturday at 7 am.

I can't decide whether or not to watch it now or later. Hmmm... the elements of harmony can fix anything, lets ask them!

Honesty: Don't lie to yourself, you know it wasn't meant to be seen yet.

Kindness: It would be rude to watch it when you aren't supposed to.

Loyalty: Stay loyal to the show creators and watch it when they meant you to.

Generosity: They gave it to us, didn't they? It would be rude not to take their gift.

Laughter: If I don't watch it now, all the jokes will be old and stale by the time I get them.

Friendship: If my friends are okay with watching it early, I should be too.

Well, that was useless. I think I'll just wait it out.

  4. I read the cliff's notes of the Divine Comedy, at least the hell part, for no other reason than it only cost a quarter and I was curious. I have drawn A LOT of knowledge from it, and can pull references to it out every so often (for example: the deepest part of hell is actually cold, and Satan has three heads, a black, yellow, and red one).

Hell, I even made a cartoon based on the seven deadly sins. I posted it in the artists' thread I think.

What? This is a pony thread? Oh. Ummmm.... Derpy is best pony?

  5. So for my English class I have to write about an expperience "that might have been instructive in some significant way. Perhaps, you learned something about yourself or some aspect of existence, 'grew up,' or became disillusioned, or broke through some obstruction."

I feel like talking about my parents' divorce is too obvious/easy/cheap/boring (for me), but really, I grew up learning about myself very gradually and steadily, and can't really pinpoint many turning points. And I feel like half the people in the class are going to write about that one time they met a black guy and he was pretty okay. I moved from inner city public school to central wisconsin random college. I miss minorities.

  6. That was terrible. I dunno why but I can't stand rap in any form, and the vocal mixing was horrendous...

    WWWHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA

But everyone loves Duane and Brando! Their music is awesome! Though I admit they could improve the sound quality a bit. As for not liking rap in any form, I used to be that way too. Until I started listening to nerd rap.

I, too, read this fan-fiction, and think it is amazing for reasons I don't feel like writing a wall of text about. Its one of only 2 that I read, the other being "Through the Eyes of Another Pony" ("Past Sins" is next on the list, among others). I am very cautious of reading fan-fictions, and only read those that have been very, very highly recommended. I avoid any with a [sad] or [shipping] tag, if anything just to narrow down the huge amount of them there are.

And while I agree this would too greatly narrow the discussion in the pony thread, perhaps we should have some fan-fictions other than ponies?
