Have you tried verifying and defragging, along with uninstalling and reinstalling? How about rebooting?

I tried reebooting, doin't know what it means to defrag, and I don't know how to uninstall Steam games, but I will try verifying. Thanks guys.

The file is likely missing for some reason. Verify the game cache (right click > game properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache). It'll redownload the file.

EDIT: I hit properties, nothing about "local files" or "verify integrity" came up.

So, to give this thread a new thing to discuss (since I don't know where else to put this), I've been having trouble starting up Half Life: Blue Shift. I go to Steam, hit "play", and then it gives me an error message that says "Couldn't find 'decals.wad' in 'DEFAULT GAME' search path.

Anyone know what that's supposed to mean, and how to fix it?

I was reading TVTropes on the Half Life page, and a troper said almost the exact same thing you did.

Opposing Force's plot was just stupid, though, because there's literally no reason for the black ops to kill the marines. At least the HL1 offered a flimsy excuse, OF doesn't even bother.

Which of course got a lampshade in Shepard's Mind.

I think it has something to do with inter-service rivalry, but that's still excessively stupid.

Seriously though, if we wanted the most realistic rendition of what should have happened, the HECU/US Marines should have rounded up the scientists for later murder, used security guards as cannon fodder, and cover it all up with "nuclear meltdown" or some stupid statement like that. No idea why they don't trust their own researchers, but if I had to guess it would have something to do with people who don't know about the aliens and Xen, and the few who do, and making sure that they're silent about it. Black Ops weren't killing Marines until after the general withdrawal, though (still ridiculous). As Freeman pointed out, it's a mystery as to how they would keep this a secret with the Marines.

I need to stop questioning game logic.

I'm pretty sure that I would be twelve kinds of tortured and be an advisor to Hitler and Kim Jong Un. My life would get very complicated.

Can you provide a logical reason for the sheer number of birth certificates, (enough that other than the 3 that were put out on the news, they were all classified) and the out-of-country birth certs for the same guy, (many reports I've seen put it at 2 completely different ones, one of which was released on the news) other than to hide his true nationality?

Has anyone seen MarbleHornets? Long story short, it's an ARG about Slenderman. Ever since I started watching it, I've locked all my windows at night, and have had nights where I couldn't sleep. How are we off-topic? The USA has more Christians in it than any other religion, (over 75% of the US population according to several reports) and this thread is about the interaction of the US with Israel, and the reasons for said interactions.

One very simple reason why most Christian religions will stand with Israel: The Bible says that anyone that doesn't will lose. This alone is enough reason for most people to stand with Israel, even if Israel is acting like an idiot is running things.

When did I ever say "all"? I said most religions, and not all members... Still, even 1% of ~1 billion is staggering when they decide to help out. (and it's a significantly larger number than the US military population)
