Prison. I need computers.
Being isolated with bright lights on all the time, or in total darkness?

I am hyped as hell for it. Alien is one of my favourite movies of all time and this game seems to really pay homage to it. Gonna be one of my must-haves this year.
Speaking of Aliens: Colonial Marines, I am one of the 10% who actually enjoyed it. But I know this is going to be a very different experience and I welcome that.
I liked CM for what it was, but it felt too much like a Modern Warfare game than something from aliens. Add that to the bugs, poor multiplayer, and high price ($50!) and it just didn't seem as great as I first imagined.
The game looks like it's gonna emphasis the survival in survival horror and it's playing towards to old movies ideas that weapons aren't going to save you so it looks like it's gonna be pretty fun. I like how they make it look like they want you to feel hunted. Hope they pull through on that because most games that try that fail to make me feel like something is really trying to kill me.Oh yes, I'm eager to play this game... If it wasn't for the fact that it's almost exclusively on PS4!
That's $400 not including the cost of the game itself! #FirstWorldProblems

I am "being real". I was from the start. Troops are needed if we don't want a major conflict that likely will spread out from the middle-east.
Yes, but you need to acknowledge the cost and the likeliness. While it would be ideal, there's no political will to do it (most people are praying the Iraqis pull their heads out their asses and that the FSA pulls a miracle).
EDIT: Unconfirmed reports are coming in again of Ramadi falling. If anything happens, I'll post about it tomorrow. This could be very bad.

Right. HK's economy decline (it there's one) is often short term. That's not a valid point and is never in the spotlight in the protest.

That's the total percentage of GDP HK had in the Chinese economy. HK has 3.3% unemployment, compared to Macau, which has 1.7%. There has also been remarkably poor investment in public services and infrastructure, too.

Uncomfortable chair is mine.
Eating an Oak desk (in one sitting) or being sent to prison for ten years?

I just got called a (their words) "extremist liberal homo-loving fucktard" because I didn't agree with someone when they said (once again their words) "queerfags are literally ruining all of planet earth."Who is he? A hardcore Putinist/Tea Party member?
Either way, he's scum.
EDIT: I absolutely DESPISE people who are "useful idiots". I hate it when some "liberal" goes up on Fox, acts irrationally or idiotically, and then makes Fox look like the "good guys". I fucking DETEST it. The same stupid shit goes on at MSNBC too, but less people watch that horseshit than they do Fox. And on a related note, CNN can go to hell too, for simply being extremely idiotic and "sensationalist".
Fuck TV news.

They would be quite nearly immune to small arms fire, and rifle fire could not enter their chest.
So modern weapons (made by the US, no less) are completely useless against modern body armor? I'm generally curious as to how that works.
(And I think my mod is much closer, if you want to see what I think is better.)Do you have a video to show us? My computer is really shitty with mods, I usually can't get them to work.
-
Or maybe the HECU just have really shitty armor.
Do regular US Marines have shitty armor? No? Then where did you get that? I personally believe in the HK53 theory. I mean, there isn't any other logical explanation for why a US Marine wearing modern body armor would die after getting shot only a few times.

Well, depends on the situation. If we mean Iraq (which you do) then they can't take the whole country, just turn it into a destructive hellhole full of ethnic cleansing and genocide. In said situation, I would indeed heavily damage a city to keep that nightmare from happening. If we mean something like Russia's invasion of Ukraine, then destroying a city (like Donetsk or Luhansk) probably wouldn't be worth it. Probably.
Playing a horrible video game, or watching a horrible movie (you must play the game as long as the movie runs)?

I know you wouldn't want to, but that means nothing.
What needs to be done, needs to be done... Not doing it won't help.
Sending troops would be the "best" solution, especially if we rebuild the region and attempt to make a stable government, but nobody wants it. Be real here.

Corruption?
Yes, that too.

Can I choose to do neither?
Where's the "fun" in that?

Citation needed. From what I can tell, most of the protesters are angry about HK's declining economy, and the rigged elections are the straw that broke the camel's back.
You proved it yourself. HK is the freest part of China (I wouldn't count on it spreading democracy to the mainland though), so what else except economics (and anti communist and anti mainland feelings) could this be about?
-
And the USA still refuses to send troops because Obama is an ass.
I would not want to send troops in either, so before you call him an ass, think about what kind of situation we'd be inheriting there. It's already worse than 2006, and you'd still have to deal with Syria, which is hopeless. You'd have to rebuild the whole region and use force to keep the various militias from carrying out genocide/ethnic cleansing. Adding troops would be a good idea, but an absolute nightmare to sort out.
Anyways, looks like Ramadi didn't completely fall, but ISIS has gained a foothold in the city.

It's been a while since I had been to HK last time so can't say what the mood in the streets is.

Raining down WW2 levels of bombs on ISIS, or sending in 250,000 US troops with no air support?

This is very, very, bad. Unconfirmed reports are streaming in that the city of Ramadi may be collapsing as we speak. If true, then this signifies the near victory for ISIS, as Ramadi is the last base of the Sons of Iraq (the only Sunni organization fighting ISIS) and is the gate to the Haditha dam in Anbar. That dam controls Bagdad's water and electricity flow. It would be a disaster of downright biblical proportions if the dam falls.
