  1. I get the feeling you hate cats... Which is a shame, because they're awesome.

No, he just hates me and must remind everybody every thirty seconds

I don't hate you, I just get frustrated with you sometimes

And I've only made that clear like twice before

    Also,

    he

  2. My girlfriend got a kitten today. So, that means I probably just got a new friend. We'll see when I meet the little gut tomorrow.

waiting for you to report back tomorrow about how the little shit clawed your eye out

  3. Dark Souls 2

I feel this is the polar opposite of Dark Souls, where DS is hard but fair, DS2 is easy but unfair. It's not hard, I'm breezing through it really fast, but holy shit it LOOOOVES dropping anvils on players. If this game reduced about 75% of it's bullshit it'd still have a lot of bullshit.

  4. Witcher 3

I'm the perfect mix of "pretty good" and "absolutely terrible" at this game. I'll go into a fight against a large monster 5 levels higher for 10 minutes and take no hits and then nearly die 5 times to a group of bandits 10 levels lower.

*kill vokun in skyrim right out of riverwood*

*leave the dungeon and immediately die by falling 2 feet*

  5. People say Trump voters are stupid an they vote for Sanders - man who has no clue how economy works and one of his promises is double minimal wage. Even corrupt oligarchs from third world countries do not promise shit like that. Hilary ir corporations whore, in best case scenario she would do nothing, like Obama. Obama managed to do absolutely nothing in 10 years of service.

So we have Trump. No he is not perfect in any way. But western world needs something fresh, something new. Need some patriotism, nationalism, need to become great again. Europe is also electing more and more right politicians, because of what insane nonsense idiotic leftists have done.

    Shit like that: https://www.facebook.com/1609776849267928/videos/1691436504435295/

West will be great again. Btw, I'm from Europe.

Trump has shown time and time again that he simply does not care about his constituents, and people just write this off as "finally, a candidate who speaks his mind!"

Sanders is definitely a candidate who speaks his mind, and I'm voting for him because while I don't entirely agree with his economics, I know he's a candidate willing to listen to his supporters and non-supporters alike and is willing to provide help to the people who absolutely need it. He's stood by the economically struggling and socially marginalized for decades and he has my vote.

  6. I recently got Stardew Valley and Subnautica, haven't touched Subnautica yet but Stardew Valley is one of my favorite games so far.

i really wanna pick up stardew valley, ive heard nothing but good things about it so far and it looks really fun

    idk about subnautica though

  7. *For the record, the war was not Germany's fault, they just took all the blame because they lost. But there's about a 50/50 shot you already know that, Extra Credits did a decent series on the matter and clearly you watch them. Crash course also did several excellent episodes on the matter, which I personally think are better from an educational standpoint, but that's neither here nor there.

I watch EC more for the perspective on video games from a design standpoint than history lessons.

You can't really put the blame of WW2 on any one country, since it started out as several smaller conflicts rather than just one person or country.

I think you just had a slight typo... You can definitely blame the *second* world war on one country, at least in the European theatre. (In the pacific, it's WAY more complicated.) But as for the first world war, it really just started because the Austrian archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo, the Austrians got a blank check from Wilhelm to act as long as they did it fast (as to keep it a small, regional conflict) but the moron went on vacation right after saying that, the Austrians gave totally unreasonable demands to give themselves an excuse instead of just acting and largely sat on their hands for two weeks, Wilhelm returns to find they STILL hadn't acted, the Russians mobilized towards the German border and guaranteed the war would involve them (therefore their allies in France, and their allies in Britain), and the Russians refused to back down, forcing Germany to mobilize against them to defend itself.

So really, one conflict. And several mind-numbingly horrific gaffes on the part of Europe's leaders made mostly because the rulers involved were complete fucking morons.

who would you pin the blame of world war 2 on? japan invaded china and attacked the u.s., germany and russia both wanted eastern europe, there were a bunch of lesser known conflicts around asia and africa

i'm definitely no historian but i wouldn't pin world war 2 down to just one country or conflict, a lot of stuff happened before it became a world war

  9. I'm with Jeb here, and not just cartoons/shows, but everywhere. Hell it was even in the oscars. I mean "gender correction surgery", really?! [/rant]
is there something i'm missing here?

No, screw it, rant continues. I've been avoiding Steven Universe because of above reason(s). Same with Undertale. From what I've been told, it was made because the creator, Toby, hates fighting in RPGs (and the lack of diversity in monster design). First of all, if you hate something, don't play/watch/read it! On a side note, don't force your views down people's throats by telling us it's the only way to get the best ending. At least you have the option to watch Steven Universe, and the creators aren't like "if you want to see how it really ends, follow us on Twitter " (okay bad example, but it's all I got ".

I'm fine with games with multiple endings, I'm fine with good/bad endings, just don't make the reason(s) to get the good ending, be connected to your view point.

The reason these kinds of shows get so much attention is because they bring attention with the "tumblr crowd" is because they bring attention to and normalize the groups commonly associated with tumblr. This is huge for the LGBT community in particular because they're still a very marginalized group and this sort of portrayal helps push the younger generation in a more accepting direction. It doesn't apply to you as a LGBT+ person or supporter, so you don't have to like it.

About Undertale, I don't really see any point in trying to convince you at this point, but having actual consequence for killing someone who doesn't need to die doesn't mean the game is shoving pacifism down your throat.

If you don't care about the characters AT ALL and kill each one you come across, you're not gonna care about that "best ending" at all either way.

And idk where you got that info, but Toby Fox was HEAVILY inspired by earthbound and even made mods to the game prior to undertale's creation, in fact undertale originally started out as an earthbound mod project.

The ending you get is determined by the actions you take, like beating the crap out of Electro, or talking some sense into him.

this sums up undertale, keep in mind you never actually bothered to play through the game because you were put off by the fact that murder came with consequences.

  10. WW1 isn't bad source material for a video game, but it's TERRIBLE source material for a battlefield game.

WW2 and Vietnam just fit battlefield's formula better, and of course I can see why they wouldn't want to go in that direction.

Though, I'd love it if the folks at dice took a look at this and considered a return to ww2

  11. And you think it's a good idea to punish the three hundred million people who own guns and have never done a thing wrong with them because occasionally people are assholes?

Keep in mind you're talking to someone from Australia, where people don't take pleasure in shooting shit for no particular reason.

  12. Undertale, I really don't need to get in to detail about this one

If you're one of those odd folk who haven't played it yet, please do so

Freedom Planet, there are a few flaws about this game, but they can be overlooked for the most part.

This game controls far better with a gamepad, so I suggest picking one of those up if you don't have one.

Starbound, though the folks behind this game had a history of shady PR and business practices, that's all in the past now.

This game has come a long way and holds up on its own even as a beta. It's basically Terraria with a bigger emphasis on adventure, if that sounds appealing to you at all.

Kerbal Space Program, this game has a steep learning curve but youtube tutorials make it a whole lot easier to deal with

It's unlike anything else out there, an aero/astronautics and physics simulator with a sense of humor. One of those games you lose the time in, definitely worth picking up
