Feel free to take the title if you want, Alyxx is hardly active.
Presently I hold the title of fabulous princess so you can't have that.

I might start up again. Just to have fun if anything, nothing like my over competitive behavior like before (I say that now...)
Once my computer is up and running properly again I'll reinstall it. Curious to what the game's gonna look like on an actual monitor and not my laptop.
Well imagine a lot of poorly designed and colored hats that clash negatively with the game's intended art style and combine that with a clusterfuck of poorly balanced teams and weapons and you've got a pretty good idea right there.

Welcome back Seattleite, we missed having you here. Well, I'm sure most of us did, anyway.

Battlefield 4, it was on sale for $10 so I thought I'd pick it up. Why the hell not.

Cheers! Just accepted what I assume is you
Yeah that's me. Toss me a PM any time you want to play.

On a lighter note:
I stopped playing TF2 in 2012 for two reasons:
1. I felt I'd become a little too...obsessed? And my then girlfriend didn't appreciate it, so a little bit of guilt there.
2. I also felt like I was playing the same game over and over again, and got rather bored. Perhaps this was me not having enough variety in the servers I played on, but I genuinely stopped enjoying myself.
However, with three years since then, and the amount of updates TF2 goes through, would it be worth venturing back? Does TF2 go through dull slumps now and again?
Dunno if I'm sounding silly saying all that, but TF2's comic attitude appeals to me (for the same reasons as to why I love the Timesplitters games). Maybe I'd enjoy it more with mates (knowing that there was once an AF server is awesome).
Bleh.
I'll send you a friend request on Steam and maybe we can play together.

I'm out of this thread since you appear to not read what I say, and assume I don't know what I'm talking about. (a hint: I do) Good luck with your gaming.
But BTG, we are reading everything you say. We've read everything you've said, which doesn't seem to be a whole lot in the first place. There's a whole lot you left unaddressed and we assume you don't know what you're talking about because you bring up shit that doesn't add up and keep changing up your story when we call you out on it.
It doesn't add up that you can remember to the minute the specific amount of time you played (which, mind you, wasn't much) before concluding the game was full of hackers, despite having your hours wiped in 2011 during the Uber update. It doesn't add up that you claim not to have played much after 2009 yet somehow managed to accumulate 57 hours of TF2 (even with maintaining the short lived AF server) after your playtime was supposedly "wiped" after the Uber update. We want answers/responses to what we have to say but we're not getting them, and here you try to leave without at least admitting you were wrong or otherwise giving us an answer.

because of how the game's mechanics work
I was gonna suggest that, but I'm too inexperienced in online FPS's to say it with confidence.
Aimbots can work for Scout, Heavy, and Sniper, any other class and you're just delving in to unconventional territory. There's literally no need to aimbot with pyro's kit, spy's kit, or medic's kit, and the demo and soldier are damn near impossible to hack with anyway. Engineer's class literally comes with a stationary aimbot. Those "hacks" BTG was talking about earlier were closer along the lines of actual map awareness that any player with enough experience can get down.

There's a point where I just feel like letting everything out, after nearly 4 years of dealing with BTG I just kinda exploded.
OT: Just got done making a video.

It's because hacking in TF2 is literally the least entertaining thing ever. It's funny after like 2 seconds but it only works on a few in-game classes because of how the game's mechanics work and it's really just too similar to an arena shooter for hacks to be useful. CS:GO opens itself up to that kinda shit because it's heavily aim oriented whereas TF2 is centered more around prediction and movement.

Somehow I knew episode 100 would be fanservice central.

Recovering from a 2nd degree sunburn that I got yesterday, and trying to wrap my head around people defending obvious hacking in TF2. (the only thing I can think of is they don't want anyone to realize that they are hacking themselves, but I haven't seen them play so...)
Please, BTG, keep your fat stubby fingers from further tapping angrily at your keyboard for two fucking seconds.
I'm gonna be blunt here, I'm done with "polite" and "respectful", you're a fucking idiot. You're inconsistent in trying to defend yourself, you have to be better than everyone even if it means making up complete fucking bullshit JUST so we can drown you in that attention you love so goddamn much no matter how much we choose to believe it. Just about everyone I've spoken to about you can agree that you're a generally unpleasant person and literally cannot stand seeing whatever it is you feel like typing out. I don't even care what kind of shit I get for posting this, I'm tired of posting here if it means having to see your stupid shit every time I come back. You know you're fucking stupid hen you're trying to act like you know more about a topic than people with literally thousands of hours more experience than you have.
Holy shit, fuck this.
What am I doing right now? Thinking about quitting. Jesus H. Christ.

I honestly don't care for gay marriage, so long as the government on any level does not force churches of any kind to allow ceremonies for gay couples I'll be fine. Otherwise it would unconstitutional as it would infringe on how they're allowed to practice their religion.Actually, that is exactly the reason they are pushing so hard for homosexual 'marriage'. It's not that they couldn't have exactly the same thing without the label, (they have had that ability for over a century in most states) it's just that they want to force churches to say that homosexual relations aren't a sin. (M+M or F+F sex regardless of anything else is considered sex out of marriage, and the homosexual affection and/or attraction isn't the sin, the sex is)
I'm sick and tired of the 'gay rights' assholes throwing around massive rallies and marches, and trying to force 'awareness' on everyone to say that not only is it 'right', but that it's better in every way than heterosexual relations. For a remarkably small minority, they are really getting on my nerves.
The movement isn't really centered around forcing churches to marry gay couples, it's more along the lines of forcing the state to recognize it and give married gay couples the same benefits.

Getting so mad.I'm homophobic, I've established this, but in Australia at the moment there is a massive battle on gay rights and marriage. The majority of Australia is Christians/Religious people who believe marriage is a godly concept and that it would be wrong for gay people to get married. So... Why does the government support you straight people and not gay? I'm so mad at Christians and everyone who thinks gay people shouldn't get married. Let them fucking get married so gay people get the same rights and benefits as you people. I want to slap each and every one of you. Society went and altered marriage so that it's supported, given money to, praised. Christians were a-okay with that. They're selfish. Because as soon as gay people want the same awesome stuff you people get, you yell at them and tell them to convert. I'm not saying all Christians are like this, but I'm just so ashamed of society and people who hate gays having freedom. How would you feel? Say you're a person with brown hair. Everyone who has blonde hair is allowed to marry each other. It's been a tradition, and people who celebrate it get free stuff. So... why can't we brown haired people have too? Just cause we're different, doesn't mean we deserve any different. This is two-thousand-fucking-fifteen people. Get your act together. I swear.
Sooo mad.
it's funny because marriage isn't a strictly christian concept and it's been practiced by non-semitic cultures for centuries, christianity just has its own rules on how marriage should work. the whole "gay people shouldn't marry because the bible says so!" idea is literally people trying to shove a bible up the government's ass.

Wow, this sure blew up
Honestly, you lose credibility each time your finger touches the keyboard.
Claiming you've gotten headshot by heavies and unscoped snipers, claiming that in 30 hours you know how hackers in this game act, claiming you've played a lot more and had your hours wiped due to the uber update. Yes, I'm quick to calling you inexperienced because you are. You have a very poor understanding of the game's mechanics, you're quick to blame a lot of what you see in-game on hacks, and you claim to have more experience on the topic of hacking when you can't even pin down what the common hacker does or how the common hacker acts. In all my 1700 hours of TF2, I've seen a grand total of 4 hackers and all 4 of them were aimbotting heavies that said nothing throughout the whole game until they were eventually banned or until the server cleared out.
In fact, that "hacking" sniper you saw? I can explain what you saw, the default client interpolation rate is 1/10 of a second, the time between scoping in and being able to get a headshot is 1/20 of a second, plus BOTH clients' pings and rates are a factor to take in to account as well. TF2's default rates are slow as hell, actually. Your client simply didn't process the sniper scoping in as it happened and it's entirely possible that it happened so fast that your client didn't process it at all. And a 180 degree flick? Seeing what Powah and Taggerung can do, hell, seeing what DON can do, that doesn't surprise me.

I got a whopping 27.38 hours before I came to the conclusion that there are at least 2 hackers in every match, and they're real cry babies or idiot children with horrible attitudes and limited vocabularies if you ever kill them... I don't want to have to bother with that, which is why I made the private server, and why when nobody got on in a week, I decided to permanently uninstall TF2.
Judging from this you probably have a really poor idea of this game's issues, and at 27.38 hours I'm going to assume those "hackers" you ran in to were simply better than you.

Wondeing why EA thought using a web browser as a server browser is a good idea.

Probably is. AF isn't nearly as active as it was back when you put up that TF2 server and a lot of us probably don't play Minecraft a whole lot either.

If we find something in this thread intriguing and wish to comment on it, and maybe even discuss it further, you're not really in any power to tell us not to. Random entails little more than unpredictability on our part, and I'm 99% sure you weren't expecting a pseudo-lecture on why topical discussion in this thread should be acceptable to some degree.

I'm also gonna be working on a video I hope to be at least 10 minutes, going for 20, and it's going to be a huge collection of pub clips from my 1650th hour all the way up to about my 1800th. Just as a kinda "I'm trying to get back in to this game let's see how much I improve over the course of 150 hours" thing.
