Portal Stories: Mel X3 I don't actually like it that much. Sure, the graphics are great. But level design is awful, in my opinion. It takes 5 minutes to find something, then takes 10 minutes to solve it. So I've just been noclipping around, getting through the story rather than attempting the puzzles, cause they kinda piss me off. There are so many walls that look white, that look like I can put a portal on, but they're not. And so I might miss a wall that I can actually place a portal on. Gragh!

Ah. See, I knew most of this already, but I simply suck at it anyway. XD I think if I practiced enough, I'd definitely be able to make photography a sort of hobby. Buuut... interesting photography involves going out, and I don't even have a driving license yet. XP But thank you! It's hard to get aaaall the little things right. The exposure, the f-stop, the focus. Gragh! XD That, and apparently I have very shaky fingers (cause I'm a piano player? ), so I can't stay still for snot. Didn't know this one though! Thanks! And after taking a lot of practice shots and what not, an hour of holding this thing ain't a joke. XD It hurt my wrists. I also didn't realize that wearing black whilst holding a black camera wouldn't help, but I'm not prepared to change clothes just for a post.

It's just a MIDI file reader, is all. Nothing complicated to it! Anyway, I finally got my Behringer sound device to work. Which means... the below midi file is literally the sounds I played from my keyboard. And with my NEW pedal, my songs ain't sound like s***. I still have some configuring to do, because... 90% of the time, my midi program doesn't record the input for some odd reason. :S But whatever! The song is a piano version of Sammer's Kingdom: Super Paper Mario. It was an awesome childhood game I played on my Wii. X3 I've known how to play this song for years now. I don't know why I've never forgotten it. I mean, I learn all my songs by muscle memory. But I dunno why especially this song has stuck so hard. Nostalgic to play and hear though! The issue IS being worked on! :3 We have mods and admins all aware of the problem, and we are discussing it. If we can't get a fix for it this week, then we COULD make an announcement. But for now, if someone asks if the UCP is down, just be friendly and tell them the situation is being dealt with. ^_^ The decisions isn't also entirely up to me, so I can't guarantee that making some sort of thread or announcement is a good idea. X3 It might make the problem bigger than it seems. And for the sakes of not being off topic, I understand the concerns, but I'd advise everyone to keep this as an introduction thread only from this post onwards, thank you!

XD Well, who knows, maybe it IS one legged and hovering a few inches off the ground. But yeah, mate, if I could have adjusted the lighting appropriately, I would have. But I had... what, two seconds to react, you know how birds are. Once you realize they're looking at you, they'll fly off. XP Darn nature. So unpredictable. I tried to take a close-up of some leaves, but the wind kept blowing them out of the view. So I gave up. XD

That sounds glorious. X3 I am so jealous. I love it when I have the house to myself. Currently feeling: Tired after my walk, but productive. Gonna waste all my productive wants by playing TF2. XP

Thanks for the tip! Ears are weird to draw sometimes. XP For a school assignment, I had to take a bunch of photographs, at least 10 of a theme I liked, so I chose the nature theme. So being snap happy, I quickly adjust the settings and take a shot at it. Such a cute little thing. I tried to get some more, but he just hopped around me before flying off. X3 The weird plant things AREN'T dead, I don't think, they're just weird Australian plants. Those photos were mainly testing out background blur. :3 If you want to see something amazing, Zoom in on pic 5186. You can see EVERYTHING. It's awesome. (Top right, zoom button) Also, I'd say photography counts as art, which is why I posted it here. X3 It's only a one-off thing from me anyway, just for an assignment.

Just finished reading all 870 pages of this ongoing comic series. X3 I need a life.

Feeling busy makes me feel good for some reason. X3 Distracts me from the stuff I don't want to see sometimes. I can just do my own stuff, without a care in the world~!

People can complain though if there are no presets for customization. In The Sims 3, there's a random Sim generator which is great. In Skyrim, there are a small but handy set of presets which are nice too. As long as there's this list of templates for the player, customization should be a thing in every game IMO. (Except story games like Half Life and Portal, obviously)

XD Freaking out in a good way or a bad way? Or a neutral way? Cause as far as I can tell, for Binky this could mean anything! Listless, resentful, unhinged, mirthless, doleful, jolly, disgruntled, surprised! You gotta keep those emotions together, man. Get a hold of yourself!

My favourite gimmick, customization. It's why I love The Sims 3 so much. I spend over an hour customizing every piece of clothing, all the tiny little details and everything! >W

That's actually that great. XD I imagine you as a scarecrow, wielding the ban hammer bat whilst saying a cheesy line like; "batter up!" as you send the spam crows half way across the universe.
