  1. Oh, I love making progress shots. :D I ended up making a small clip of my graphics and design major project last year, showing the progress and creation from start to finish. My teacher saw it and was like; "You should submit that with your other work too..." And I did, and I got Exceptional Achievement for my end of year grade. It's good to know that the little things I enjoy doing are the things that get me a good mark. :P Wonderful.

Anyway, I drew something, and came prepared with some other things.

Dragon doesn't like its rider that much it seems. :D

This one is kind of cheating... I admit. I made the progress shots from just disabling a few layers and putting them back, so there is no draft layer - unless you count the first initial photo as a draft, sure. :P That works.

Aaand a speed-draw. Cause they're fun. This is an old video though... 9 months ago. So I was terrible at drawing dragons back then. XD And... terrible at drawing in general. I still kinda am. But I'm better so, I can't complain too much.

  2. All you need to know about Guild Wars 1... There's no underwater terrain. So many invisible walls (so god damn many). No physics = no fall damage, no jumping. No movement whilst spell casting otherwise the spell is interrupted. However, you could cast fireballs out of your sword as a mage and I think that just balances everything out. XD

EDIT: Elementalist** OMG. Been playing too much Hearthstone lately. Mage, pffft.

  3. I've been so out of touch from Guild Wars 2, it's insane. Someone's gonna have to fill me in on the Heart of Thorns expansion pack. What is it? What's it do? I'm serious, I've been away from it for so long... I literally just found out today that it's free to play. >.> Wooops! :D Problem I have with Guild Wars 2 though, is that if I try to play Guild Wars 1, I get frustrated because I keep trying to jump. XD I love the mobility freedom you get in Guild Wars 2. People who skip Guild Wars 1 take the movement for granted. This new feature was like... going from a toddler crawl to a full on sprint - awesome. But Guild Wars 1 still has a special place in my heart. :D

And yes, totally agree... Giant cat with horns. Fucking awesome. They're just... awesome. XP

  4. @Heliocentral: I've tried a lot of suggested fixes but nothing seemed to work. I've finally sent a ticket to Guild Wars support... and hopefully should get a response soon!

In other topic related things: What's your favourite race and profession? :D

I love the Charr... the little Cubs are soooo adorable!! And as for profession, either Ranger or Thief. I'm always a sucker for light and quick, so shooting things from a distance with a long bow, or dashing around with a pair of knives so fast that you're avoidable to anything and everything that comes swinging at ya, that's pure fun for me. :D Once I get my account fixed, you bet your ass I'm posting pictures of my character here cause she is beeaaauuutiful!! :D

  5. Fucking around. I got an email, just a simple receipt, sent to the wrong address, and I've made it my mission to find the rightful owner of this receipt. If I am able to find the owner, I want 20xp points and a level up.

Fun fact: Facebook is great for finding and stalking people.

  6. I made a thingy. X3 This animating stuff is so fun. Really satisfying. Although, it takes more time to animate when there's colour involved... It looks good though. I love it. :D Thanks to the fiance for the gif making! This thing was an ass to make. But it's adorable! The snake does a cute wittle head bounce. XP

And since I absolutely hate Gif's shit quality and FPS, I uploaded a way more detailed version in the form of an mp4 file.

And thank you, Vappy! :D So kind.

And just cause, some progress shots:

  7. I think I was too stubborn to stop using it... even when I did feel sick. I was playing for like... 30 minutes? Played one of the demo games, and Team Fortress 2. The side effects during its use are... ignorable? But after I stopped wearing it, I had to sit down in an open space for 5 minutes and just look around for a while. XD I was tripping out. Like; "Woah, what the fuck. This is what real life looks like?" I had headaches for 10 minutes, but then I was ready to jump straight back into it so. :3 Not too bad. It's worth it, in my masochistic opinion. XD

@Daniel: It probably was the DK1... It was a while ago so...

  8. Focusing isn't a problem for me, but I don't need glasses. Did you try both sets of lenses?

I wish I knew... this was aaaages ago, and it was a friend's I was using. Of course, this was just one of those prototypes... so it could be different now!

  9. As I can attest, having a VR unit myself (an Oculus Rift DK2), it's not the head movement per se that causes the motion sickness. It's the lower frame rate than your mind is expecting. When you have a low frame rate on a monitor, it's fine. You can even watch a slideshow like your avatar here is, Binky, and not have any trouble, but when viewing it through VR, it becomes a problem.

Think of it like a boat. Your mind thinks something should go smoothly in a certain direction and it doesn't. It judders and staggers. This constantly makes your brain feel like you're going to fall over, getting you dizzy and sick. Only at extremely high frame rates (probably 90fps or better) could this feeling go away.

That's the biggest problem I see with VR that could be solved in the future--lower frame rates and movement pausing.

And not to forget about the focusing...

I've used the Oculus Rift, and the fact that I couldn't focus on objects... that made me feel sick. However, it was pretty damn freaking awesome to be able to see so clearly without glasses. :D I could work fine with the low FPS... and the movement wasn't bad either. But the fact that I couldn't focus... that messed me up hard. Headaches, stomach ache. Oculus Rift, why you gotta be so cool but painful? XD

  10. Definitely the slave option. I wouldn't have to worry about bills or education, cause I assume all I'd do is housework and what not. And if my wishes are true, then I can wish for great food and wish my master isn't abusive. :D

Be a water dragon (dragon that can breathe underwater and spits out water, either freezing or boiling hot)...

Or be a fire dragon (immune to fire and can spit lava or fire)

  11. PayDay2... and... since my Fiance is a big; "I need everything" person... of course he had to get the Goat Simulator DLC. And me, him and a friend played to see how (bad) it is. X3

And yep... wow. XD We haven't been able to actually complete the mission because it keeps crashing our games. Dunno if it's the map, enemies, or the freaking goats, but we're going to assume its the goats, because Overkill thought "Hey, let's purposefully have buggy physics in our game! That sounds like a GREAT idea!" And the last thing we saw of the map before the host crashed was some goat's tongue stretching to the end of the universe. It's funny until you lost all your amazing progress. We're so done. Not gonna play the map until the game gets an update. Seriously Overkill. We hate you.
