When it comes to organisations and places like this, there are usually programs made by software developers for that specific organisation. I know at work, we have like... our computers... the OS's are almost completely different ones, just because of how differently it works. They run on a form of Windows XP but it's been like, heavily modified or something. As much as an OS and computer can be that is. Lots of certain commands run to make sure that everything is sorted upon booting of the system. You can restart the computer and expect it to be able boot up, load the specified cashier's account, connect to the right monitor, to the right printer, to connect to the database and network, load up the main program, and even keep the order that you had previously put in, to the exact point. So yeah, it's modified as all fuck. And it's way too big of a hassle to re-create that. It'd involve a lot of bug-testing. And organisations just can't afford silly things like constant computer failures. So why upgrade? That turned out to be a mini rant, sorry. XD

Decided to get back into Skyrim (2 days before my exam, gg) Loaded my most recent save, this is what I was greeted with. Uhhh... hi. Where the fuck am I?

I don't want to appear heartless, but I'm actually REALLY sick of seeing; "Pray for Paris" "60 dead in France" Blah, blah, blah. I get it!! You don't have to rub it into my face, and prove to me once again, that I can't do shit. I see YouTube with the French flag, then Tumblr with the logo, I see it on fucking Facebook, you can't escape it. Like, yeah, thanks for reminding me that the world is fucked up and people are dying. THANKS. A LOT. Really fucking picking up my mood. People die every single day to terrorism and shit, why is France so suddenly different? Why do they suddenly get all the media coverage? It's really all so depressing, I didn't want to start my week to this. Sure, I'll mourn the losses and pray, but I don't want to have to feel pressured to do it, having the French flag thrusted down my throat. I should be able to watch something, or look through my emails, without being reminded that there are people being murdered and family's are all suffering. I care, alright? But goodness gracious me, just stop. I can't do shit. And I feel terrible for staring at my computer screen, not being able to help anyone. Don't have money to donate to charity, don't have transportation to get anywhere. This just goes with anything really. "THEY NEED YOUR HELP". Yeah, well, I can't do SHIT. Thanks for reminding me.

Well the stream is over, but it was a wonderful first session! Apologies to Ross for that minor incident... it was a struggle to deal with because there was probably about 10+ spammers in the span of a single sudden minute. Thanks to Daniel and Magda for helping though! Once the video is up, if Ross isn't already planning on doing it himself, I'm thinking of making a written FAQ out of it. It'll make it easier to get information, without having to scramble through a 2 hour long video, might post it on the forum. But I'm not sure. Ross might be planning some other way to make it easier to watch the video. Who knows! :3 Was fun though.

Lucky you. I just absolutely love the heat. Summer is my favourite season. OT: I love how when I'm practicing my Russian, I start getting this temporary adorable Russian accent. XP Although, apparently I have a slight American accent from talking to my American Friends too much. X3 Dammit.

I was placing bets on New South Wales or Victoria. XP Darn. I'm in Tasmania. :3 Been to Queensland before. Nice place! I love the heat. It's too bloody cold down 'ere. The occasional snow is nice though. It snowed on the coast here this winter! o.O Hasn't happened before in like... a decade.

So she bursts into my room at 8am, telling me to clean my room so that she can come in and help me paint the walls. Ughhh... I've had like... 30 minute naps during the day but I don't think it's going to help much. I'm going to be EXHAUSTED. I just hope I don't fall off my feet during work. :S I don't want to be painting at 8am in the morning, when I have work later in the afternoon. Gooo awaaaayyy!

Mianite is a long but really entertaining Minecraft series. If you have the time, it's worth a watch! There's also snippets of it that have been animated that just give you a preview of how funny it can get. XP Basically, it's a bunch of YouTubers who play on a server together, but they're acting as if they're actually in the universe. It's great! Since it's done by a lot of different YouTubers, you can decide whose perspective you want to see. I've personally been watching CaptainSparklez' videos... There's an actual plot to it too though, not just random bollocks... If you're impatient, probably not the series for you. It's something you can just have running in the background and listen to.

Babysitting someone's laptop at school whilst they're out of the common room. X3 And silently judging the state of their toolbar. There is like... 20 icons smooshed onto the one bar. How is that not annoying? But heh, whatever floats their boat!

I've never said something so retarded before in my life. I woke up at 8am, sent a message to a friend, I come back to it later in the day and I'm just pissing myself laughing. "And ah, as a warning to international people, they cut their English ribbon so now it just looks like a Russian city." XD WHAT!? What am I on about!??? Subject #18 - Torture Okay, I think the majority of us knows just how fucked up the dark ages were, and the ways in which people were tortured. Sometimes, people were tortured simply because they were different. X3 And that's a bunch of bollocks. However, torture IS a method of getting information out of people. And sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But do you think we should be using torture, in this day and age, as a way of getting what we want? Not torture just to harm someone for the fun of it, but to actually get some benefit out of it - for the good of a larger community. I'm kinda on the fence of it. Torture is HORRIBLE. But it works. I'm not exactly too sure on what else can be done that is similar to torture, but I dunno... torture just sounds so... harsh. There's also misunderstandings that come with it. Some guy gets picked up who is a suspected leader for a devious plot. Turns out he's not, but we've just been torturing him for weeks for no good reason. That fact scares the shit out of me. I remember watching 'The Railway Man' - based on a true story, and in it, the main character of the film was tortured for weeks because of a misunderstanding. :S Poor guy. Was awful watching the torture scenes. XD Ugh. So cringe-full. But yeah, what do ya'll think? :3

Paint Tool Sai - The drawing program that I use. Really neat, simple, but always has something new to learn from. Aria Maestosa - MIDI recording and writing program. Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) - What I use to record my screen, video, or anything else. Really handy! Quest - Text Adventures - An application that you can install (or just use your browser) to create text adventure games. You can also include your own code if you so desire. :3 Sublime Text - Nice looking code text editor! Used this for my HTML work.

@Zaraki: Thaaank youuu! ^_^ Guess who just handed in their Major Project for Graphics and Design today? Meeee! Yessss... A project that took around half of the year to do, but finally... I handed in my documents, finished model and 3 and a half minute animation to my teacher today, day before the due date. On time! This means I have basically no more assignments to hand in this year. 2 exams and I'm done with Grade 11! One more year, and I'm ouuutta heeeereeee... I'm doing this same class next year, but a sort of level higher - more work, less time. Bring it on! I got A's and B's on my minor project, and I know I've done better on this major project... keen to see how my grades turn out - especially after I REALLY improved on my animating skills in the past few months. Summary: Accomplished! :3
