  1. I want to watch Episode VII tomorrow, but because of an annual local film festival, all theatres will show just the film festival's entries until New Year's Day. That means I have two options: Wait 'til the end of the holidays to watch The Force Awakens or go to the theatre tomorrow and watch movies featured for a "film festival" full of bland actors, cheesy pickup lines, more product placements than Foodfight, and half-assed writing.

  2. Modern CAMs aren't shaky... They use tripods and motion compensation technologies now. Of course, there's always the issue of having someone seated in front of you moving their head in the way. (this CAM had that issue)

My 2 main issues are the contrast, (it's always way overblown, blacks and greys become the same pitch black) and sound quality. (usually it's mono expanded to stereo, and almost always badly done)

I was referring to older CAMS. I've had a few in the past that are shaky at times. This was around a decade ago when a friend gave my dad a few DVDs of movies he recorded. It wasn't a pleasant experience. The audio was muffled at times, and the camera moves every now and then. (he couldn't bring a tripod, so he tried balancing the camera on the armrest) I have yet to watch a modern CAM rip, but I can give it a try someday.

  3. OT: I'm feeling a bit weird... I had a dream of an old mate of mine last night, and I woke up and I was like; "Fuck, I really need to talk to him again." So I am, right now... but I feel really bad... Like, it feels like we stopped talking because of me. We used to be so close... but then I got into a relationship, and we stopped talking as much.

Reminds me of this friend of mine in college. She was my classmate for one semester before she transferred to a different school. We stayed in touch for a year when no one in my class did, then she got into a relationship, and I couldn't pick up the courage to talk to her since then, because I was afraid I might disturb her while she's talking to her boyfriend. I felt bad for not talking to her for a long while now, she's a very nice person, not many people I know in my class are like that. Maybe someday we'll talk again, I don't know.

  4. I've had bad experiences with CAMS. I get distracted when the camera jerks suddenly, or when an audience walks past the screen. Even if the video quality is good, CAMS didn't suit me well imo. If I can't watch The Force Awakens while it's showing, I won't mind waiting a while longer for a proper release.

OT: The Shawshank Redemption: 10/10 - While I'm not much of a movie buff, this one left quiet an impression on me. I love the story, the characters, I also love how it alludes to The Count Of Monte Cristo in some ways.

  5. Just this morning, I dreamt I'm on a roadtrip with JonTron. We were driving on this long straight road talking about floppy disks. All this happened as I'm sleeping in the back seat of the car, on an actual roadtrip. Now dreaming of being in a roadtrip in a middle of a roadtrip in real life is one thing, but JonTron? Must be from watching Starcade, idk.

  6. Jeb, this is BEAUTIFUL! I love it! :D Though i'd like to see myself with a Zappa moustache there (or maybe not). Joke aside, I really love this. It even looks great as a desktop background as well.

  7. I have a small deformity in my chest called Pectus carinatum or pigeon chest. Thankfully it doesn't look extreme, and it doesn't affect me in a life-threatening way. My cousin did pull a prank on me as a kid and said I'll die young because of my chest, and I believed him for a while (he was a nursing student at the time, which probably made it easier for me to believe him.)

If I can't be a musician, I'd like to be a luthier. Right now, I have three guitar projects (2 Mockingbirds and a Strat) and I'm planning to finish them before I finish college

  8. Game Grumps is okay. It's a Let's Play series for those into it, though i enjoy the Grumps more. I'd suggest searching if they did a series out of your favourite game, that's a good way to start out.

Another suggestion would be Elliot Goes to School by the late Kitty0706. It's a Gmod machinima series, kinda like a sitcom with a Diary Of A Wimpy Kid-ish influence.

  9. Y'know, Bees are starting to seem alright now that I know how friendly they are. As for wasps, i have yet to see one yet.

Either way, I'll try not to go full Nicholas Cage (NOT THE BEES!) when you see a bee/wasp on your arm.

  10. I will love the police as they kick the shit out of me on the street

    FREEZE HIPPY!

That line always get me every time I hear that song, especially the Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life version.

Wide River To Cross - Levon Helm

There's a sorrow in the wind

Blowing down the road I've been

I can hear it cry while shadows steal the sun

But I cannot look back now

I've come too far to turn around

And there's still a race ahead that I must run

I'm only halfway home, I've gotta journey on

To where I'll find, find the things I have lost

I've come a long long road but still I've got some miles to go

I've got a wide, a wide river to cross

I have stumbled, I have strayed

You can trace the tracks I made

All across the memories my heart recalls

But I'm still a refugee, won't you say a prayer for me?

'Cause sometimes even the strongest soldier falls

I'm only halfway home, I've gotta journey on

To where I'll find, I'll find the things I have lost

I've come a long long road but still I've got some miles to go

I've got a wide, a wide river to cross

I'm only halfway home, I've gotta journey on

To where I'll find, I'll find the things that I have lost

I've come a long long road but still I've got some miles to go

I've got a wide, a wide river to cross

I've got a wide, a wide river to cross

I salute this veteran for his moving rendition of that song:

  11. My choices are... Spend the last moments of my life in the crowded back with all the parents and toddlers (cause little kids are placed at the backs of planes usually), possibly survive a plane crash, be stranded and miserable out in the middle of the ocean for hours and hours, suffering and going through mental and physical torture. Then die.

    OR.

Enjoy the last moments of my life... Peacefully... And die a quick death. XD

I have a fear of the ocean too. So if the plane goes down, just kill me. XP Please. XD The ocean fucks me up hard.

Oh god if a plane's about to crash let me die from a heart attack 1st before crashing the plane. At least I won't feel the impact.

OT: Killing time before my next class browsing for parts for my DIY guitar project

  12. ....And just like that, I have the sudden urge to listen to the Lamb again.

Here's a quote that made me cry the 1st time I heard it. This is from the late Justin Carmical (JewWario). Long story short, I was in a very dark cloud, figuratively speaking, around June-October. I'm okay now, but at that time I had this feeling as if i'm just a living shit 'til I saw this:

    8tN60yFjO-g

"I want you all to look at me. Because what I’m about to say is important. I’ve been thinking about this a lot; a lot lately. And I want you all to know this. This goes out to everybody. You’re not stupid. Okay? You’re not stupid. Don’t ever tell yourself that you are. You’re important. What you have in your head may not mean a lot to a lot of people, but its what makes you special. You are important. You mean something. And you’re going to go out there, and you’re gonna to do some wonderful things. But, first and foremost, you’re not stupid. You’re not an idiot. Don’t ever tell yourself that you are. And, if nobody else ever tells you this, I will tell you this; I care about you."

I'm not kidding when I said that video still makes me wanna break down even when watching it a few times.

  13. My cousin went to Poland en route to Germany for a job assignment a few months ago. While in Poland, he was staying in Gdansk for two days (if he was a fan of Freeman's Mind, i'd tell him about Ross living in Gdansk) Even he said the he was surprised the food seemed fresher compared to food here in the Philippines. He's starting to love the place, and he's planning to go there again on his free time.

I really like your pictures of Poland, especially the mountains, very picturesque. As for The Wall... oh God you lucky guy!

Thanks for sharing your experience in Poland! I would love to go there someday, among other European countries.

  14. Also Binky I've known you've been in a band for a while and I do recall you once linking some of your songs but I can't for the life of me remember where it was, would you be willing to share some? :D I see a lot of pictures but not enough sound.

You can look up Binky's EP in Spotify, the band's name is The Pastures.

I'm hoping to record some more stuff soon, I just need the equipment. (the guitar and interface I used to record Spacey was my friend's, I'm still assembling my guitar at the moment) I got some ideas I wanna mess around with soon.

  15. ...and you just got yourself a Soundcloud follower! At last, your music can now be part of my favorites playlist!!! :D

Also, your music's improving in leaps and bounds. Complex, yet pleasing to the ear. I'm looking forward to hearing more soon :)
