@Vapymid Still alive, not to worry! I'm currently on Arran in Scotland, which has avoided most of the bad weather. Although, I'm heading to Glasgow tomorrow/today, and the wind's due to get up heavily on Tuesday, so I need to make sure I can get a ferry back to Arran before they start cancelling sailings.

 

Most of the flooding is happening in Cumbria and Yorkshire, which are a fair way south of my location. It's quite impressive that Leeds city centre is flooded, as it's midway between the east and west coasts.

 

Newcastle seems to surviving however. Put 'Isle Of Arran' into Google maps, then 'Leeds' or 'Carlisle', and you'll see I'm rather out of harm's way

I'm playing a gig in a couple of hours. I was asked to play two days ago. I've had no practice, and I have no idea of the setlist. Needless to say, bricks are flying out of my rear end. I know I can improvise rather comfortably, but solidly for maybe two hours?

 

Kinda hoping people will be drunk enough to not notice my playing, for it's going to be pretty low-par..

Playing some forum catch-up.

Had a nice, modest xmas. Got a teeny tiny frying pan, measuring cups, and recipe books. And had some lush salmon for xmas dinner.

 

I also got asked to play a gig on the 27th (tomorrow), and the guy who asked me (the drummer) doesn't know the setlist. Now firstly, how did they know I was back on Arran?!
