Roadside Picknick is a good modern take.
If you're willing to count a looong series of Reddit posts as a book, I'd also recommend

If we are going by Tarkovsy's version, Annihilation is a poor man's Stalker. It's a rare case where an adaptation surpasses the original (Roadside Picnic)

Well I didn't say humanity is saintly, I said it's mostly malleable. I think most people just kind of go with the flow. We're not really wired to deal with problems on an abstract and global scale, mostly just immediate ones in front of us. That people default to just what's affecting their own lives is pretty normal. We can obviously be much smarter and more effective than that, but that takes systems to implement effectively.
It's not my job to care about the tidal flow of nations. There are already systems for that but the government operates under little oversight and almost no accountability.
If an elected official's position was actually tied to KPIs and other performance metrics that are used in the private sector, then we can get a lot more bang for the tax dollar. Citizens should be more akin to shareholders in their relationship with politics.

Well, he did have money, and that is one of the major credentials.
Thrice divorced, closeted bigot.
He was the average American boomer with a silver spoon and a dream. That's why I don't get all the hate, you can't get a much better amalgamation of the Walmartia than Trump. You may not like your racist uncle, but he keeps getting invited to Thanksgiving each year anyway.

I think you guys are giving him kindof bad advice.
I agree that breaks are sometimes suitable, but usually 'take all the breaks you want its fine' is either coming from people who don't really know themselves all that well, or people who think that the majority of viewers are like them. In both cases it tends to end kindof badly. Minding, Ross seems to act like he kindof understands this, but the torrential flood of only 'do whatever man its cool' coming from all angles (including for instance most youtube comments) does seem like kindof a poor plan to follow.
Regardless of whoever you are personally, most of his viewership is likely contingent on the quality and quantity of the content he puts out.
He's not going to listen to them anyway.

Nah. The answer dodging in this post is proving something to the world that isn't in the open.
Nah. You're psychologically projecting. And your thought process in an individualist americanism. COmment discarded.
Yeah, you sure showed everyone. No one will ever recover from this epic stumping

Please don't post angry comments here. You know who you are.
Looks like the childless atheists have been defeated here. Global warming isn't anything i can't handle either.
Maybe you're on to something. Atheists are just pussies who can't handle global warming. Maybe they should do like Disturbed and FUCK OFF AND DIEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Explanation as to why childless atheists who have the least incentive of any demographic in the world to care reeeeee harder than people with children about global warming or shut your pseudointellectual mouth!!!!!
Even though I agree in principle, I don't really confront anyone about it because it's just self-serving gratification. I'm positioning myself to be a post-apocalyptic warlord, so getting mad at my future subjects won't accomplish anything
Just worry about yourself man. You're the one reeing the hardest in this thread.

I sat on a waiting list for 3 months for a watercooled 3080, then the day all reports pointed to the stock returning around the same time NEXT generation's GPUs were scheduled to start coming out, I dropped my waiting lists and instead got a nice watercooler for my 5700XT. Gained significant performance, and drastically reduced noise, all for significantly less than I would've paid for a new card, and what I have now can still do 60FPS or better at max settings on any game I have or am planning to get.
Wait.

I hereby declare Ross the real lovecraftian D'Artagnan of gametaste!
If all of the internet would be deleted or bought by Apple and put behind a paywall and i had the opportunity to save just one site, it would be "ACCURSED FARMS", for i consider it the greatest gift to humanity since wine!
PS: Stop passing "The long dark" Ross, you idiot! It's cool!
It is pretty cool until it turns into Wolf Simulator

Why is it always childless atheists that reeeee the hardest about climate change?
Of all people they have the least incentive to care, and no one should listen to them? Why do they reeeee the hardest?
It's because they want to project being biological dead ends onto the rest of humanity.
Climate Change is real though, but what of it? Nothing I can't handle.

Hi! I'm chris.
I am 38 years very old.
I live in Vienna, the capitol of Austria, a small country in central europe, where people speak german, wich explaines my terrible english!
I choose the nickname HUBERT, 'cause its a really stupid sounding (if you say it in german...sounds like : Hoobert, while the 'e' is pronounced like the 'a' in care), but common name around here, and it's the name of an austrian singer/songwriter wich i like (hubert von goisern).
I'm late for this forum, like for everything else in life.
Primarily, i came here from the: "Gaas is fraud" video, on wich i agree.
I stayed for the "game dungeon" and the "other videos" but i have to admit, that "civil protection" may be the funniest thing invented by man and after the "modern military general" episode of "Freeman's Mind" i accepted ross as the one true god.
My favorite GD episode is the "BLACK MIRROR" one, because of the Ninja-theory.
I work mostly as a voice actor and author of short stories.
My posts are usually to long.
I also like the big game list very much.
My hobbies are pc gaming, strangling small animals, masturbation and golf. (...don't call the cops on me, its a monty python quote and its not true! I hate golf!)
