The Map theme in this reminds me a lot of the intro of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond"

I was "suggesting" those games in case he wanted to do more short warm-up reviews of obligatory throwaway Christmas games in the vein of Deer-Napped or Santa Clause In Trouble. suggesting in quotes because I was mostly just being silly :P

I don't think the "abridged playthrough" format for Game Dungeon is necessarily a problem; it works with games where the badness or weirdness is gradually built up and/or revealed the more you play of it, like in The Chosen, Hellgate London or Martian Gothic (incidentally those are some of my favourite episodes). It doesn't work as well in my opinion for more straight-forward games, or games with a more even level of noteworthiness (such as Demonica or Terror TRAX)

If there's another Christmas episode this year, I hope Ross won't waste his hard-earned Złotys on crap Christmas games before remembering that he already owns Naughty Elves, Season's Beatings and Christmas Cat's Revenge from buying that giant Itch.io bundle from last year [cannot personally confirm or deny whether these are sufficiently crap]

I for one thoroughly enjoyed the new episode and most that preceded it, and I always look forward to new content.

Maybe the developers liked Mac because it's the true Goth OS

That song was included in the credits actually; the outro song is usually the last listed

I agree; as long as the cost of maintaining the forum doesn't become too much of a financial strain, I don't think the current level of activity really poses that much of a problem in and of itself. Of all the forums I've been a part of in my days, I think the only one to survive the rise of Discord without a significant drop in activity is Progarchives, which is populated mostly by 50+ year olds. The consensus among people I talk to about this does seem to be that forums are antiquated and too inconvenient compared to instant messaging in its current form, which I don't personally agree with at all. I think both have their uses, and I'm definitely happy to have a place here to regurgitate my thoughts in a more premeditated manner and a more long-lasting form.

I was drawn to this game because of its combination of cyberpunk and Lovecraft themes, but I really shouldn't have been... The one thing those two genres have in common is the fact that seemingly 90% of media within them only hearkens back to some popular story or franchise from the past without even attempting to stand out on its own, and this game is no exception. I can't really recall any objective gameplay flaws, but everything about it just felt extremely uninspired and mediocre to me.

ROSS'S GAME DUNGEON: THE JOURNEYMAN PROJECT
Mira replied to Ross Scott's topic in Ross's Game Dungeon
I don't think it's that big a deal; it's not like he's handed out awards for every episode since he first introduced them anyway. I'd rather he include them when he actually has ideas for them rather than divert time towards them by default. On another note, from the samples shown in the video I think the Pegasus Prime version of the Mars Maze theme sounds slightly better. The mix of the original sounds pretty sparse and has a lot of empty spots; adding droning noises is a bit of a cheap way to fix that, but I think it basically works in giving the music sound more "full" and giving it a more flowing, legato feel (not to mention distracting a bit from the dated samples) -
I feel like there's a lot of miscommunication in this discussion In isolation, telling a joke that denigrates another race when no one of that race is present may not cause any direct harm, but if you are of the opinion that every human being is by their nature prejudiced against "the other" to some conscious or subconscious degree (I'm inclined to agree with you on that point because I'm a helpless pessimist), wouldn't that be a reason for such an impulse to be persistently suppressed at all times, and not to be seen as something that's acceptable to indulge in? If xenophobic beliefs are so omnipresent and commonly held it's no wonder that they cause real tangible harm so often when people keep affirming them among each other.

Even after staring at it for a while I can't decide if the face is supposed to convey chillness and general stoic cool gal energy in the face of danger or just simple tiredness and annoyance at whoever is talking. It's quite charismatic in any case, 9/10

Lots of pixel hunting and bullshit puzzles in this but definitely worth it. I was surprised by how well the story works: it hits that delicate balance between revealing just enough by the end to feel satisfying but not too much so as to demystify everything.
