Screenshot Contest Winners

Here are my winning picks from the screenshot contest, followed by my favorite runner-ups. Congrats to Zac Moore, Bob Builder, and Jax Kenobi, who will receive a copy of Uncanny Valley. I picked ones that I felt stood out well enough by themselves without needing a lot of context and I leaned towards ones that suggested there was some deeper story going on.

This has exactly the sort of subtlety to it that I like and that maybe something more sinister is going on in this neighborhood

I was somehow envisoning some sort of psychopath whose business with the cow still wasn’t done.

People sent me a lot of ragdoll glitches, but I’m not sure any came close to the body horror that this one is.

I may be biased on this one, but the timing seems to perfect, like the scientist never saw it coming, nor should he have expected that to begin with.

I actually didn’t realize the significance when I first saw the screenshot and thought it looked interesting on its own. Finding out later that this is default gameplay gives a little more boost.

It's a pity most of the shots were in e-mail...

Almost none from the thread are in this list, which suggests there were a lot of good ones we can't see.

Oh man those screenshots were great. I hope you will make another contest like this again soon (but this time with a longer deadline, so I can participate too- I had some screenshot waiting just for this opportunity)!

Maybe i've played too many ragdoll games, but i wasn't all that impressed by it...

Funny screenshots from games are usually like... 80% ragdoll physics. XP So I'm not surprised there was a few winners/runner ups that used ragdolls.

Now, if it had been a video contest, I would've recorded my skyrim glitches... The weird opening scene flubbercart issue, and when the guy gets beheaded just after choosing your character, his body twitches, and his severed head jumps straight up out of the catch basket 3 times. (occasionally leaving the basket) Or even one where General Tullius is vertically squished, walking with his body horizontal, and one where his 'floor' is 2 feet below everyone else's.

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.
