Surprised nobody else mentioned this but Hog Hunters Online IS a commentary / gag. On retrospect it's hilarious how well it whooshed Ross. "Earlier I was able to connect but I guess all the servers are offline... This isn't just like a commentary thing." Though I'm sure the graphics bug he experienced the first time must have added to the confusion.

 

I tested myself to confirm and it only works the first time you play it. Then the "server goes offline" and it never works again. That's the joke.

Apparently you can delete the PlayerPrefs config file to make it work again.

 

I like this note the devs put in about the "Host Server" button not working too. Very on point.
