I been using Retrobar for the past few weeks and I personally love it. A click of a button, I open up my Web browser, steam, GOG, Discord, PAINT.net. etc. And its all just a tiny button. Less is more. Retrobar is great despite being just a mimicry of ye olden windows. It's funny that old windows designs, of simply just being 'out of the way' and not having this big bulging taskbar in your face is way-WAY much better than modern windows task bar. Just "Here's your programs, and here's your currently running windows." That's all I want. I do not want a search bar, I do not want to know the weather. If I want to know the weather i'll simply look at the weather app on my phone. I do not want search bar. I have a web browser and that opens up Microsoft Edge anyway (You cannot change the default browser on the task bar search bar last I checked). The best I've had this phenomenon explained to me is Enshitfication. Making things purposely worse, for profit, for the guise of purposeless "progress", etc. And I think it fits with how modern Windows (and moreover technology) has been progressing. Anyways: Does anybody have anything else of note, any other programs they use that compliment REGULAR modern Windows (I.E Windows 10/11) to make it more bearable. Ross did a video on this but I wasn't able to find an actual thread on UX/UI programs. I found some, one that makes the Windows look a bit more like MacOS: https://github.com/Runixe786/Macified-Windows And Retrobar itself: https://github.com/dremin/RetroBar As well as another that simply guises itself as a full conversion of Modern windows but I stopped using it as it wasn't as compatible and became deprecated. I forgot the game, but it'll come back to me probably. Edit: It's Cairo Shell: https://cairoshell.com/ Moddable too. Oh and I used to use TaskbarX: https://github.com/ChrisAnd1998/TaskbarX But I realized it used alot of memory for some reason. Thanks for reading my ramblings about- whatever. Apologies, if theirs already been a topic about this I'm unaware of. Navigating forums are a bit different for me.

Similar to his Monthly Videochats, having his podcast, he can bring on guests. Discuss various things. I ask because I love listening to him talk on my walks and while I'm doing various things! I would love to have more audio commentaries with him! He has a very interesting and concise outlook on many topics. - Jaiden, From Canada.

Why do you live in Eastern Europe? Can't you move anywhere west?

I wonder what he feels about Test Drive Unlimited, and by extension Test Drive Unlimited Gold, the community expansion.

Not to necro, but this is pretty eye widening as a frequent watcher of the channel myself. Post 2013-ish
