  1. Now I hadn't looked into every post here but I have been obsorbed by the GUI video. I plan on throwing my hat in the ring and try to make something from scratch using Quickshell for linux. This allows it to not be bound to one DE, rather anything that can use Quickshell. For example, I'll use hyperland, some one else might use Niri. Qt frame work does work on WIndows so maybe someone can poart Quickshell to windows? But I'm kinda insane so I'll either heavily integrate everything to Doom Emacs or heavily utilize that design philosophy. What does this mean? Key sequences, instead of Combos. This removes the awcward finger placements. Aside from this I have some other guidelines I like to adhere to. Things should be usable in 3 ways. (Mouse only, Keyboard only and finnaly Half keyboard + Mouse. Mouse only and keyboard only is gonna be my focus at first.) Motion instead of clicks for menues. (Clicks need percision but if we use motion, you don't need to care where your nouse is.) Single instence per element. (This might be a trerrible idea but I want to merge window borders and menu bar to the task bar or bars depending on how I end up making things.) This approach has one problem. Since I am over writting hotkeys to sequences, I basically have to either create a script that some how reads all shortcuts the program uses and create sequences for them which might be possible since you have to basically declear your hotkeys in wayland or I have to do it per program I use. I have never used MAC, I like to tinker things and Apple isn't a big fan of that. I used Windows for most of my life all the way to 11 but have been daily driving Linux (specificly openSUSE) for the past 4 years but I am moving to GUIX because as I said, I'm insane and want to creat a custom setup there which this GUI thigy will be a part of it. I despise using CLI due to my dyslexia but I am fine with using config files. Will I successed? Dunno. Let's find out if I can even do this and see if it's even a good idea. Feel fre eto throw your ideas at me too. Maybe that gives me some solutions.
