198x

Ross's Notes: Way too introspective for my tastes, but otherwise, pretty good.  Acts as a small sampler pack for 80s / 90s arcade games.  Good music.

Genre: 2D Action

Ross's rating: Good/Great

This game has some really good art and it even makes you think about your life, your memories and so on. The game can be beaten under an hour, so if you felt like it was too short (doesn't have a lot of replay value), then go refund it, I won't judge. Though obviously, this is meant to be a beginning, so it's to be expected.

Nice visuals and good music (including some tracks from Yuzo Koshiro.) Meh story, too much teen angst, not enough substance. Most of the games are okay reskins of old arcade games, except the last two. I don't want to spoil the last one, but the second-to-last is an endless runner, which is a genre that AFAIK started on mobile platforms, so it's very anachronistic here. Not to mention it's by far the hardest and least fun of the minigames (in my opinion.)
