The Lego Movie
10/10
You heard me.
Hilarious, incredible animation, very creative, gag a minute, emotional heart, and Will Ferrell's best work since Stranger than Fiction.

Just realized I didn't post this here.
I've got a webcomic I'm doing for a class. They were literally drawn in middle school and I'm just uploading and tracing them. They'll give you a chuckle at least.
Here's a link rerouted through my professor's website. Follow if you've got a tumblr.

Working on my webcomic.

So. The Superbowl.

I've heard his voice acting before on Robot Chicken, as well as the Weird Al show.
This explains a lot of my (and Foal's) feelings.

Might be my favorite episode of the season so far.
THE LEGENDS WERE TRUE! THE WEIRD ONE HAS COME FOR US!
I had heard rumors but didn't believe it till I saw it myself. They even have him sing and play the accordian, and at one point he even sang Smile Smile Smile, my favorite pony song. I was in heaven man.
As for the episode itself, I really liked it. The set up of Cheese was interesting, as he was not a classic villain. Unlike Trixie or Lightning Dust (or whatever her name was) he wasn't a jerk, unlike the dressmaker he was actually good at his job, and unlike any other antagonist his goal for the entire episode was legitimately to make everyone in Ponyville happy, and no big twist that it was for selfish reasons. And yet through all this, he is still the antagonist, because he's going about things the wrong way and let's competition get in the way.
I think CF might even like Pinkie in this episode, she's acted much less like a weirdo and a fourth-wall breaker. It's a more serious episode about how she feels important to the community.
AND THE SONGS. The first one I felt was a little too much like something you'd see in a kid's musical, but I was like whatevs, it's still a song. THEN THE REST. AHHHHHH. SO AMAZING.
EDIT: And let's not forget this madness

Figuring out what the appropriate thing to do after literally not sleeping last night because of working on a game jam.

I thought the episode was... lacking. For one, I wish they would ACTUALLY convert Discord. I mean, they did it well enough that he's not meglomaniacal, and I think it's fine that he wants to create chaos, but I wish he'd stop trying to actively tear relationships apart.
A few good gags, and the song was fun, but that's about it. My least favorite of the season so far.

Trust me CF, I freaked out like a freak when that happened. And that was before I made a name for myself in the community. And even I was a little shocked when I found out I haven't made anything for nearly a year. Most of it was because I was working on Anthology 3, so anytime I was like yeah! I'm gonna make a PMV! my brain went not until you finish those shorts, mister and it kind of demotivated me. Hopefully Some inspiration and motivation will come soon.
Pinkie still has a serious side. Look how excited she was to learn she had family, and how important it felt to her. And in Friend In Deed, she spent the whole episode trying to convince someone to be her friend, and having extreme difficulty with it.
Fluttershy in Bats is NEVER scared throughout the episode, and actually SPEAKS OUT and practically ARGUES with people. No panic attacks there.
Dash I feel is straying from her character, but I'd almost call it character development. Her relation with Tank is something we'd never see out of her in season 1, but not because she's losing her character but because she's growing. Same with Daring Do. I do feel she's getting a little to extreme (the games, of course; daring do books, okay; a musical, that's a stretch). I do think she needs to be a little more grounded, like how we saw her at wonderbolts academy. Her energy is put in check.

So hey, been PC-less for the past few days. Just gonna post my thoughts on the latest episode real quick.
I really liked Pinkie in this episode, but I've always been a huge fan. She really got to display her personality here. I liked how she never stopped smiling throughout the whole episode, not because of ignorance but optimism.
Big Mac was really well done here. I always worry that his trademark yups and nopes take away from his character, but they played around it very cleverly and entertainingly, and that gag at the end was worth it.
All that stuff I was talking about with the songs in the last two episodes? Gone. This song was AMAZING and super catchy and sung by Applejack nonetheless with help from Applebloom, Granny Smith, and even Big Mac. Man, it hit it out of the park.
Continue.

Definitely agree with you PP.
I was pleased with the eoisode, but not a huge fan. It was nice seeing Rarity dealing with the inherit oroblems with her element the same way we saw Pinkie do it in Friend in Deed, and Twilight in the Trixie episodes.
I liked how there were a lot of background ponies, and good ones at that, with real character and even arcs and jokes. And though it may have been crossing a line, I chuckled pretty hard at grumoy cat cutie mark.
And lastly, I didnt like the songs (though I liked the fourth wall joke), I thought they were too operatic and didnt really have heart and soul, just like last week.

Also, I was a bit surprised to see that this episode had a bit of gray morality in it. You can either get rid of the fruitbats and let them starve, or let them ruin Applejack's harvest for the year and potentially bankrupt her farm. That kind of moral dilemma isn't the kind of thing I'd usually expect to see out of the cartoon, and I must say, it was a pleasant surprise.
You forgot
Mind wiping the bats so that they lose something essential to who they are, against their will, solely for the god of other people. Pretty scary.
And ninja, that picture about Pinkie was hilarious and my favorite part of the song.
And CF, The line you were talking about was actually a reference to the Simpsons:

Just watched the new episode.
I did not expect to see a vampire fluttershy when I woke up today, much less a canon one.
Also another case of "we almost made an Applejack episode, but nevermind."
And the song reminded me a lot of May the Best Pet Win. Very much more of a bunch of words put to a tune rather than a legitimate song. Still pretty good, though, since they were with the two ponies who sing the least.

I was definitely thiking that, too, ninja.
I liked that episode. All of the superhero references were awesome, and I think they only got away with it in a girls' show because of the Avengers. And I think even though RD was said to have the powers of Storm, she displayed them and acted more like Thor. Also Twilight could be any number of elemental-based superheroes, including Firestorm, Fire&Ice, or of course Captain Planet.
I also liked how it called back to Castlemania, and how they are rebuilding the sister's castle. I really hope something interesting comes out of that whole thing.
And hey! a Spike episode! Didn't see that coming. I like how they addressed in the show and in-universe how Spike is a main character but not a mane character. He's thrown to the wayside a lot of times, but he's still important at times and they won't forget about him when he's plot-relevant. I think that's an important promise for the writers to keep, especially with all the Spike abuse that's been happening lately (he gets slapstick'd a lot).

I don't see a problem with it. She would have the exact same character she has now, not some shell of a character only there for political correctness. And, I mean, there's no problem with having a little diversity in the show.

Nah, I don't think she's gonna fly. Like I said, they said she;'d be fine if she never flew, not she'd fly some day. They're leaving their options open.

Didn't really like the episode, but it was at least a small departure from the normal Fluttershy episode.
