  1. Do any of you guys use some sort of track to listen to when going to sleep? I like, play a heartbeat track, or rain and thunder video on my phone, tuck it under my pillow and let my hearing do all the relaxation for me. XP So beautiful and calm.

Usually the playlist on my computer, which is a weird amalgamation of game soundtracks and classic rock (and lots of mood whiplash if you leave it on shuffle). Find it hard to sleep without some sort of background music.

  2. i didnt care to read you guys entire argument about combine invasion and possibility to defeat them, but i saw few points that i think are wrong already

first while its true G-man has never been called G-man in half-life, he WAS called so in Opposing force.

We should probably take Totally Serious Half-Life Story talk to another thread, but AFAIK, I think Opposing Force, Blue Shift, and Decay are only considered by Valve to be semi or selectively canon. As in, they're considered non-canon except for anything explicitly mentioned in HL or HL2(+episodes). The reason we call him G-man is because that's what his file names were called.

    According to Marc Laidlaw himself:

The whole issue of canon is something the fans came up with. I guess you will be able to identify as canon those story elements we continue to build on and develop and mention repeatedly as the story progresses. Others might fall by the wayside once they've served their purpose. Couldn't you say the same of us all?

In my view, anything from the expansion packs are "canon until disproved."

  3. It's always fun when you're reading fanfiction that seems perfectly nice and clean at first and then suddenly it's "what the heck are they....oh."

It's like there's a weird obsession with sex. I'm asexual myself, so maybe it's just past my frame of understanding.

  4. As far as I recall, Half-Life: Source uses a different version of Source than HL2, so I'd be surprised if they were all the same. However, I have seen a few of the glitches when recording my own HL2 demos, namely the camera twitching/stuttering one.

  5. Personally, best solution I see is making that M3U playlist. Actually, here's mine, but I haven't bothered updating it in a while:

You'd want to paste that into Notepad and save it as an M3U file in the same folder where all the videos are. Also it won't work if the videos are named something different. So yeah.

  6. I think it's GMan Invasion mod. It was mentioned in the credits.

For anyone who wants more of a comment fix, here's a few from my file that (unless I somehow missed it) didn't make it in:

Hello ladies, look at your quarks, now back to me now back at your quarks, Sadly, they aren't arranged to be me. But if they stopped submitting to the uncertainty principle they could seem like me. Look Down, now back up, Where are you, You're in the large hadron collider with the man your quarks could imitate. What's that in your hand? I have it! It's the Higg's boson! Look Again, the Boson is now a wormhole. Anything's possible when your Quarks are arranged to be Gordon freeman. I'm on a Rail.

@shellbellmel This would make an awesome multi-billion Five-Star BoxOffice Hit Trilogy made under every single movie director and editor voiced completely by Ross Scott. Every movie after and before that wouldn't even be considered as a film in comparison. It would be nice.

Yes. I wrote a few physics problems in underwater sand and then proceeded to solve said problems. I proved string theory with that. TAKE THAT, FREEMAN!

I own a grappling hook and it's exactly as useful as you'd hope.

Anyways I can't remember when I started watching Freeman's Mind. It's been a great time though. I'm gonna miss it.

  7. I'm the immortalized Chocoportals. I helped look through some of those comments. It was a painful experience. I wouldn't recommend it.

Still probably not as painful as trying to complete a video series on a tight schedule.

There were a couple amusing comments that didn't make the cut. Maybe I'll post them sometime if nobody minds.
