  1. It really does try to be 2D Dark Souls. I am not a master of the 2D platformer so all I can say is that it felt like combat was missing something that made it satisfying to pour my hours into.
  2. Just like the Baldur's Gate you knew but now with a shiny coat of paint, plus it's balanced. This is good or bad depending on how you view your TT RPGs.
  3. Bit of a steep learning curve but will give several hundred hours of tinkering with your group of survivors.
  4. A strange and satisfying take on city builders. Probably my favorite game of that year and one of the few that pushed me to try the harder difficulties. I don't know what it is about that studio but it sure is good at gamifying sweeping moral choices. The soundtrack is phenomenal.
