Steam Workshop Paid Mods

I guess most of us heard about this by now, but for those who didn't know, here's an ADHD version based on what i read so far:

- Game modders can now sell their mods in Steam Workshop.

- 75% of revenue will go to Steam.

I'm honestly surprised Valve would make a move like this for Steam. I'd expect EA to do something like that if they want to. For me, I'm against this idea. Mods are supposed to be free for everyone, that's all I can say right now.

Anyway, what do you guys think of this?

Welp, now what?

Whelp, that was fast.

Lets just hope that it doesn't have an evil resurgence anytime soon.

Or at least that they can make it less terrible.

So, do you think they were being sincere with the removal, or just terrified of ticking everyone off?

I HAVE to blow everything up! It's the only way to prove I'm not CRAZY!

At least they're cool enough to admit when they made a mistake, and fix it... Honestly, the idea itself is sound, but for mods it should have a donate system instead of a forced payment. ('donate money through Steam' feature)

Don't insult me. I have trained professionals to do that.

Wow! That was quick! I also thought a donation system is better idea one. Anyway, since Valve apologized, i guess all is forgiven...for now.

Welp, now what?
