On my way back from a wedding

Apparently there were three more weddings in the area tonight. I thought that it'd be a bad idea to have something like this on a holiday, but apparently it's not that bad of an idea if it's that popular?

My best guess is that this is no problem to half of the guests, who weren't going to be out until/past midnight regardless. I'm certainly not in the part of my life where wedding planning is a big thing for me, but I still think it's weird.

I have to fight my anti-social urge by decrying all invitations to take part in wedding ceremonies are inherently selfish and inconsiderate ;p That might just be the 2016 part of my brain talking though. I'd imagine anyone who was going to go out on New Year's Eve will probably have done so, regardless if they were attending a wedding beforehand. I'd be somewhat nonplussed if someone commandeered my holidays like that - and I say that as someone who stopped in this year.

When close friends speak ill of close friends

they pass their abuse from ear to ear

in dying whispers -

even now, when prayers are no longer prayed.

What sounds like violent coughing

turns out to be laughter.
