No girls on the internet (Split from RL Pic Thread)
Geneaux486 replied to jempm55's topic in Free-For-All
It would be interesting to see how the internet society would react if girls started to be open about their gender. Perhaps when it loses its charm and becomes normal the stalking would halt. I can't say I've ever come across a forum or site where girls hid the fact that they were girls, met plenty who are open about it though. Really, you're at far greater risk of being stalked if you're an internet celebrity these days. -
Still, some of the others I've seen look like they'd be pretty fun to try out. Obviously this is impossible from an Xbox.
-
I've seen the cigarette one, as well as an impressive collection of ligthsabers. Oh, and the batsuit is an amazing mod as well.
-
I'm guessing you modded her to an extent, yeah? Eye patch ain't normally available for the PC.

I've always considered frame rates above 60 or so to be really a placebo effect. I think I read somewhere that in research, not even gamers could reliably see the difference between 60fps and 120fps. I don't know about that. The framerate for Fallout 3 on my cousin's PC was noticeably better than it is on the 360. But then I don't know the exact number of either.
-
My brother said the same thing about my PC (built it last year) and he owns a PS3. No doubt, when they're done right they make for amazing gaming devices. They achieve frame rates I never thought possible.
-
I kinda recognize the background, but which character is that?
-
I play Xbox. Never did have a PC that could do games any kind of justice. Half-Life 2 clogged my old laptop's arteries. That said, my cousin built himself a gaming PC, and my jaw drops everytime I see how much better games like Fallout 3 actually look on it compared to consoles.
-
Oh right, him. He's a twin?
-
I don't know what that is. And I know for a fact that there are cute girls on the internet.

New Vegas beats the pants off both of 'em, though from what I've seen I'm in a minority with that opinion. As for these two, it's a really tough call. Both games are amazing for similar and different reasons. In terms of atmosphere I think Fallout 3 was the better experience for me, with its gritty reality and unforgettable cast of characters. Granted the Capital Wasteland is not nearly as visually stunning as Cyrodill, and some locales like the DC area were a real pain to navigate. Oblivion also has the superior levelling system. The idea that you pick some base traits and then your individual skills increase as you use them is just great. It wouldn't be easy to adapt that to the Fallout games when Bethesda's trying to make them as true to the originals as possible, but it would still be pretty cool. Oblivion is also a bit daunting with its sheer number of quests, and when I try to get back into it, it's pretty hard to get things going again because my quest log is so backed up it's difficult to decide where to start. Ultimately I'd have to say I like Fallout 3 a little bit more than Oblivs.

That's a hot picture. Thanks, I was using real fire.

Internet memes are not based on any logic or fact. I refer you to trollscience as a rebuttal. Logic at its finest, that. -
There's a lot of speculation that the time it's taking for The Tunnel to be uploaded has to do with its position in some sort of queue of videos they need to upload. It'd make sense, but it usually doesn't take them this long to upload Freeman's Mind videos.
-
They're certainly taking their sweet time uploading it. Machinima.com has never understood the importance of Civil Protection.

Coke all the way.

Glad to see you finally finished it. That's gotta be a relief, right? Looking forward to seeing it.
-
Because we're not the ones making it?
-
But from Freeman's perspetive it's the blink of an eye.
-
I dunno, I find the scenes with Lamar or Dog to be pretty silly.
-
I agree. As much as I love HL2, the silliness did grate on me a bit. That and how they turned npc models from the first game into actual characters in the second. "Hey Gordon, it's me, Dr. Kleiner! You remember me, I was all of those 50+ balding and bespectacled scientists you encountered on your last adventure!"

Fable 3.

Well there are several youtube series featuring the slender man, but the Marble Hornets storyline is pretty easy to follow. Not really a story to be peiced together, the order is fairly straightfoward. Some of the other series are a bit more tricky though.
