How do you insert pictures from the Internet into your signature and avatar?

And when he gets to heaven,

To saint Peter he will tell;

take the url of the raw image (a link that ends in .jpg, .gif, .png, etc) and put >and then put behind it

 

For Avatars you have to download the image and then upload it to the site where it asks you to. Also, the dimensions have to be 100x100 so you may need to resize it. And ahead of time you won't have to resize you signature.
