I know you have to use Gameinfo.txt for Source, but was wondering how to do the same for Goldsrc games if anyone knows, or if it's even possible.

next time type

bind "name playername"

bind f1 "name playername"

than you only have to hit f1 to change it.

or change the name in the config file and mark it read only

I thought he was talking about how to change mod-name. I cannot think of any other reason why he'd want to change a name in the equivalent to gameinfo.txt

The file I think you're looking for is liblist.gam. This tutorial page should help.

Feel free to PM me about almost anything and I'll do my best to answer. :)

Yeah that's what I meant. I want to be able to change what the mods say on my games list in Steam. Tutorial looks about right. I'll try it tomorrow and get back to you.

EDIT: Well, guess the liblist.gam file doesn't exist for the Steam version.
