GTA original in ground view

I've been hoping someone would do this for years. I've always been interested in the original, but never really liked the top-down perspective for GTA (which is ironic considering I like tyrian, but you always aim the same direction in that game):

I'm wondering that if they do this, they'll stick with the arcade-y style of the original. Gaining points, paper-thin plot, etc.
