I played this with some friends on Hallowe'en this year, and it was fantastic. You could get through it in only a few sittings but it was atmospheric as hell and told a great story in a way that didn't so much break the fourth wall as it did move it just a bit closer to you.

This is a fantastic game: it's not just terrifying, but also intriguing and ever novel. Truly something everyone should play: no matter what your preferences or tastes are, no matter how experienced with videogames, if you are reading this, go play Stories Untold right this second.

I can absolutely recommend playing Stories Untold for it’s strong overall creative direction that involves telling a great, thrilling story while presenting it in well designed, genuine retro environments. This sort of game is highly unlikely to have any mass appeal, but at a fairly low cost and a short playtime of maybe 3-4 hours long, it’s still worth a try. You might end up like me and be pleasantly surprised by this game.

I'd give this game a rating of Fantastic.

BJ! We need you defending us with the MG42!

I really wanted to like this because the buildup is supreme, but they had to end it on such a trite nothing-payoff that I couldn't help but feel cheated. Seems like I run into that problem rather often with games lately ?

I just finished playing Observation which the developer made after this and I thought it was way better. If you enjoyed Stories Untold then please do yourself a huge favour and give that one a try as well.
