  1. Of course they do. But you're dealing with people who've probably downloaded 1 or 2 games in their life, why wouldn't they continue their buying habits? At least initially? And it was a hypothetical question. This might not be a success, hell, it might not even be real.
  2. Steam does not have a lot of games. If they're having 8GB of unnecessary RAM installed and they're also allowing Origin and GfWL on there I have no doubt in my mind that there'd at least be a CD drive. Why would they disallow music, movies etc. just so it could be exclusively digital? Well, it'll basically be a PC, so it'll have an optical drive. I just doubt your claim that a console built on top of a digital distribution platform (one that pretty much symbolizes the benefits of digital distribution) could revitalize retail sales. I never said it could, just that it might. You never know what the new customer's buying habits will be.
  3. Was on the second page. Bumping. http://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com/ http://www.nma-fallout.com/article.php?id=60955&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter http://www.rpgcodex.net/content.php?id=8005 Wasteland 2, a game that's will be developed by Brian Fargo and his team. I never thought I'd see another isometric CRPG with quality released again. To those who don't know, the original Wasteland was a top-down game developed by Brian Fargo's team, they sold the rights to EA so when they wanted to create a sequel they couldn't, instead they made a game a few of you might know of, Fallout. Now Fargo has the Wasteland name rights back again and is trying to ride the Kickstarter wave by using fan-funding to develop a game in a genre that would otherwise never see the light of day (isometric, turn-based cRPGs).

  5. I'd imagine that's why there's KB&M support for the PS3 version. And I'm sure those with only a controller could play on their own servers.
  6. PSP used physical media, wasn't a success but it made money. PSP Go used digital download only. It tanked, hard.
  7. Ask the PSP Go.
  8. Well, it would be based on digital distribution using... ahem... Steam. I doubt it could revitalize retail games if it doesn't use them. If they're trying to attract the console crowd I hardly think they'll only use digital distribution.
  9. Except having 8GB of RAM would do nothing. This is a gaming system and I can't think of any 64-bit games on the market, I'm sure BTG will correct me though. It runs PC games so it'll be connecting to the network just like a PC would. There's already cross-platform play with PS3 and PC with some Valve games so there's that. It's also able to use GFWL and Origin if you like.
  10. That's like not getting pumped about the awesome special effects in a book.
  11. It wont affect me personally because I already have a beastly PC, but I'm thinking of this as a sort of halfway point between consoles and PC. Easy to set up, requires no technical know-how, yet also has better graphics, is an open platform and allows mods etc. Sort of a PC for the masses. I wonder if it could revitalize PC gaming in the brick and mortar stores as well?
  12. Please say mod support please say mod support PLEASE SAY MOD SUPPORT Well it's an open platform so I'm sure there'll be modding. Some of the specs sound suspect though, 8GB of RAM? 4GB of RAM would be fine seeing as 32 bit programs can't use more than that.
  13. This. I'll send the VA their lines, they record them, then they send them to me.

  17. No. Dragon Age: Origins was Baldur's Gate's spiritual successor. BG doesn't have the brand power that DA has on console so they'd just make DA3 instead.
  18. I did the same thing, except it crashes if I use my Xbox360 pad and the M&KB controls are abysmal.
  19. I wish they still had this in TES games, it was so fun to bash down doors with my gigantic Dwemer hammer in Daggerfall. OT: Last game I played was Nous - http://www.whatisnous.com/
  20. Could you record an attempt and send it to me at [email protected]? Then all we need is an African American accent, which has been really hard for me to get. We have CptCool taking the main character's role and a VA from a voice acting board doing Engie and Covert Ops.
  21. Well I'll be damned.
  22. Yeah my taste is limited to good games. Sucks for me.
  23. If you want a waifu simulator then you'll enjoy the entire series. If you want a good game then only buy number 1.
  24. That is really bad. You shouldn't really be peaking at anywhere above 50 and by the time you get to 80 you're damaging your hardware. My friend's CPU used to hit 90c while he was rendering in After Effects and it caused the CPU to burn out within the year.
  25. What the hell are you talking about.
