Unless you're a Twitch streamer whose audience is mostly young kids, this is totally not worth your time. It's a barely functional series of (intentionally?) obtuse non-puzzles. Seems kind of like it was thrown together really quickly.

I completely agree with what bhlaab says here. It's a very buggy AND poorly designed game.

yep, me too. my kids were only into it because of FGTV (were we refraining from naming them? :) ) it's not fun IMO and I hated having to endure helping them solve the non-puzzles.

I followed this game's phases: Demo, beta 1, beta 2, those things, y'know...

Sadly, the developer lost his way amidst the process of developing the game. It changed a lot adding stuff and retracting stuff, adding lore and retconning lore. Alas, in the end, it became a mess. :/-

I've seen this happen so much, it's like a weird phenomenon, games that arise to popularity while the game is in it's alpha or beta stages and people will almost unanimously agree that the actually released version is worse, specially design-wise. It's fascinating.  This game is definitely guilty.

Don't get this confused with the "Early access game gets forgotten overtime and once it releases no one even cares anymore". That's something else.

I don't know who FGTV are specifically. I'm assuming they're youtubers or twitch streamers, but they're one of a billion who have showcased this game (past tense, I figure most have retreated back to the safe pastures of minecraft and fortnite by now)

That being said I really don't know if kids should be watching/playing this game either. I mean plot-wise it's about child abduction and being locked in some weird guy's basement. There are references to the deaths of children. I honestly don't know who this game is for, but it struck some kind of nerve briefly.

This is one of those games that is fueled primarily by young kids who have the bravery of the average pug.

The game is neither scary, nor is it fun after about 10 minutes. The story is practically non-existent and is anything but entertaining.

I do not like this game, and it is purely because initially, I thought it had a lot of promise. Everyone has a creepy neighbor and wonders what skeletons are hiding in their closest, this explored that pretty well at first.

There should have been a whole cast of neighbors each a separate stage which has unique challenges and increasingly creepy neighbors until you are essentially living next to Jason, Freddy Krueger and Blackula.

Trains running through a house perfectly encapsulates how stupidly convoluted the game became.

Would Rate: Love and Hate (Mostly Hate)

This sums up my thoughts so perfectly I have nothing to add.
